On my visit to Kohl's, I needed to use a wheelchair due to hip replacement. The wheelchair was easy to find. They were right in the storefront and visible from inside the first set of doors through the window. There were 2 chairs that were arranged neatly backed in so all you had to do was sit down and go. The wheelchair itself had all of the parts.(was in one that was missing one leg at another store lol) and it rode smoothly. The store was neat and clean and the racks were well organized. My visit today was to return shoes that I purchased online and to exchange for a smaller size. The shoe dept was orderly; however, my only complaint was that the wheelchair was very difficult to maneuver throughout the store because almost all of the aisles where too narrow and it was very difficult to turn and get around anywhere else but the main center aisle. In the shoe dept, I had to stand and take a few steps so that the chair could be actually lifted and put around the bend just to browse the kid's shoes section and go up and down the aisles. In the clothes sections I had the same problem but I was able to turn and go around the rack. I just had to go halfway under the clothes to do it and I was knocking things off the racks. I'm glad I had help because she picked up behind me. I would have probably bought more items if it wasn't for all the difficulty I had getting around the store. I got irritated very quickly and just wanted to make my return and get out of the store. I just couldn't imagine doing this alone. It would be almost impossible to get around alone and maneuver the chair. Anywhere but down the center aisle. I was not able to find the exact shoes that i purchased online but I was able to find a comparable pair. If it wasn't so close to school starting I would have done this all online. Anyway, the exchange process went very well and was very fast. The customer service rep was very personable and pleasant. She did her job very well. I would recommend Kohl's for a wheelchairless shopping trip. I don't want it to seem like I am hating on Kohl's but something needs done to widen the aisles so every can enjoy their shopping experience just like I normally do. And that is the reason for 3 stars I love shopping at Kohl's in the store and online! So someone please...
Read moreThis isn’t towards this store specifically, but the company seems greedy. I don’t really shop at Kohl’s but I needed some winter clothes for my babies as it’s getting colder. We were blessed with a gift card so I took it to Kohl’s because someone bought my baby some clothes last summer and I liked the way they fit. I paid less than half with the gift card and most with my own credit card. I ended up not needing a bunch of the clothes but when I went to take them back today the return was going to put $100 back onto the gift card and the rest would go to my credit card. Well I obviously don’t have an empty gift card anymore. I was told that the only way I could get that $100 back was with an in store card, which doesn’t make sense to me. Why would I opt for an in store card that I can only use somewhere that I don’t even shop when the original gift card was to be used anywhere for anything. I’m highly disappointed that there wasn’t something in place that could’ve just sent the money to my credit card, especially since I spent significantly more with my credit card, or had given me another option than being locked in the store when I brought money that was from outside the store. With all of the money that Kohl’s makes it just seemed greedy to lock me into the store because I paid with a gift card that I, understandably, didn’t have anymore. I could understand if I didn’t have the tags or my receipt but I had all of that. I will definitely be shopping at...
Read moreHave enjoyed my shopping experience since the store opened. Everyone had been extremely helpful. Until last week. A cashier argued with me at the check out regarding a bogo. There was a manager a few feet away running a register. My friend n I checked out n I went to the back to request a manager. The woman at the register appeared n I proceeded to explain. We went to the sign n I was correct. I asked her, the manager, why she did not step in and rectify the issue at the register. She said she was busy waiting on a customer. I saw her n she was not busy, just standing there listening. Do she lied to me. It took at the very least 45 minutes to get to the end result....I was right! We left the store and did not purchase the four items. Plus, my friend had never shopped there and I wanted her to see how wonderful the shopping experience could be....and bargains. I also wanted her to apply for your charge card. She was embarrassed n so far has not wanted a card. It was horrific dealing with this cashier n the supposed manager. If it ever happens again I will never ever return...
