Update: Thankfully the poor experience below was only one time. I've updated my star rating to a more fair average of my experience.
The only reason I'm not rating this one star is due to positive past experiences. This was definitely a one-star visit. I'm an unlimited sips member, and since there was only one person at the registers, I ordered at the kiosk. Big mistake. I ordered 2 sliced cinnamon crunch bagels with cream cheese. At most 30 seconds to slice and dump on a plate. I got my self serve drink and waited. And waited. After 15 minutes I went up - they hadn't even noticed my order. They said they'd get right to it. I went back to my seat and kept an eye on the order counter. Nothing. Loads of other people were getting their orders in a timely fashion. Finally, after ANOTHER 15 minute wait, I went back up. What looked like my order was sitting next to the register. No one called my name. No one texted my number that I'd provided at the kiosk. It took another 2 minutes to get someone's attention to ask if that was my order and I could take it. And then the bottom of BOTH of my bagels were coated with everything bagel toppings, so they tasted awful. I wiped them off with a napkin and still tasted the savory ruining my sweet. Waited 20 minutes without order being prepared and when there were no more customers left asked about my order and it couldn't be found. Showed charge text on my phone to lrobe order. Manager came out and was immediately rude and hostile when I said I just wanted my $10.25 refunded. In a huff she made two rude comments about my not knowing my order - which was irritating as it wasn't me who lost the order - and then told me my money would be refunded and turned to walk away. I asked for a receipt and was told I would receive an email. And asked to leave. After waiting for the email (which never arrived) I asked for the managers name or some designation of who I spoke with and who issued the refund. That took another 10 minutes before "Missy" came out and would only give her first name and not even an employee number or other id. Panara in Monaca once was a nice place to go and operated efficiently and was a pleasure to visit. This is the third time this panara had problems with an electronic order and when confronted about their mistake, the reaction was it was an inconvenience to them to deal with...
Read moreI preordered a larger order on Thursday (today is Sunday) for 10 am pick up (approx 75 with a tip included). Not only was my order not completed, they were out of plain bagels, had already cut an item that I preordered for sandwiches, out of certain cream cheeses, did not give me enough utensils, and instead of a mini scone assortment... I received a cut up broken bag of mini scones ($8). They also put my danish tray sidways and did not tape it shut.
In addition, they were not busy (I worked this job in high school and I doubt it's gotten harder). While their bakery girl struggled to wait on 3 customers, 2 other employees (1 a Manager) sat back and chatted.
Normally, I'd have gone back to complain and have this corrected but im already late to my destination and now without what I planned to bring and money spent. I will not be back and I hope this post wakes up the Panera family crew...
