I went to Ollie’s in Beaver Valley Mall to shop for some things for moving into my apartment back at college. Loved the prices, they’re great for a college students budget. However, as I was finishing up getting the things I needed, one of the women employees came up to me and rudely said “You know we close in 10 minutes right?” (This was at 8:46, almost 15 minutes before the store “closes.”) I simply replied yes. She very sarcastically retored, “You could stay and help us clean, it’s really fun.” I went to the checkout line feeling irritated and insulted. Also, I had grabbed a buggy while shopping because I had too much stuff to carry, and as I was checking out one of the male employees came up and asked if he could take my cart—as I presume because they were too and eager to leave at 9 (when the store supposedly closes it’s doors to public as stated by google above ^). Therefore, I walked out the doors at 8:53, carrying loads of bags feeling insulted by the employees.
In essence, great deals- but don’t plan on going to this store after working all day thinking you have until precisely 9 to peruse these great deals, because the staff will be rushing you out the door at 8:45 making you wish you had went to Walmart for the same...
Read moreThere isn't anything wrong with this place. It doesn't look like much, but, if you go in there with an open mind, you will find yourself some savings that you'd be surprised with. I know I am always taken aback once I get in there. It's VERY overwhelming. Too many books, if you ask me; they take up a lot of space and I hardly see people in there buying them or even looking at them, but they must sell. They have an amazing supply of candles. Too many, in fact. The big rugs should be cheaper, they're rugs! The shelves should be stocked a little better/nicer. But, you get what you pay for. Either way, they have SOME things worth investing in. If you feel like taking the time to try on find them amongst all of the sheets and bedding supplies. I never knew one store could have so much bedding stuff and not be called a bed store. They even sell flooring! I could go on, but you should just go check them out. It's worth the adventure! Bring a friend and a water bottle! They can't give you coffee because anymore...
Read moreso i was at Ollies in monaca and im minding my business looking at the animal section when i saw this. Mice/rats getting into things.
I grabbed a employee privately and showed her. She said she would tell her manager. Something seemed off so i stayed near the area and he came over and basically told her “so what” “its just mice” - its not just mice when their gnawing on things being bought. He didnt clean it ot anything just grabbed the completely shredded ones and went about doing whatever.
So if you shop here check your food items. That mark you may have thought was just damage could be from mice/ rats munching
Attached are photos of everything. I added bathroom photos because its never cleaned. The photo of signature sheet was last signed 5/1 i took this photo on 5/4. When i entered bathroom it was covered in feces. Photos dont do justice at all. As a professional cleaner this is absolutely horrid and...
