Cabelas.
Why do you have 13 people at the front of the store ready to sign you up for a credit card and no one ever working the floor aside from the firearm section? Every single time we are there.
We had to call the front desk after searching the store for an associate. No one came. My boyfriend went to the front desk and asked specifically for someone to come help; the most disgruntled woman came back. She gave me the boots and walked away, after I specially said I needed a smaller size.
Then, we went to pay for a few miscellaneous items and the cashier who wasnāt doing anything directed us to another associate who directed us back to the woman who sent us to him.
Iām not complaining about one experience at this point; itās every experience. The ONLY time anyone is enthusiastic to help is when they think you are going to sign up for a credit card.
Weāve been here numerous times in the past specifically for boots and each time weāve left without boots because (NO ONES BACK THERE TO HELP, EVEN WHEN YOU ASK.)
Iāve been to other Cabelas and Iāve never, ever had this problem. Management needs to worry less about signing customers up for credit cards and actually assist customers with their purchases if they intend on making money. What is the point of a credit card if no one assists you with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to start by saying i can count on one hand how many bad reviews i have given. If you are trying i will understand. I wish a score lower that 1 was available. Stopped into your store today to buy a gun safe. I was wondering why the parking lot was basically empty. I figured it out soon enough.. First thing I was stopped by a timeshare sales person. So that was annoying... anyway I walked to the rear of the store to find the safes. I found them in the back by the firearms sales. Looked and found the one I need and went to the counter to discuss payment and delivery options. There was at least 7 people working behind the counter. Three of them watching videos on a laptop, one helping a customer with a second watching. Another two helping another customer. I waited and waited and waited a few more to at least get eye contact with an employee. That didn't work so I exited, again getting a timeshare salesperson approaching me, the store to take business elsewhere. I absolutely hate as a customer to be discounted or ignored. You accomplished both. Have a wonderful day. Down size the employees and building. You are wasting a ton of money on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreāļø OUTSTANDING service by HEATHER in the boot department! This is a very clean, well stocked & organized store with great outdoor products. But the EXCEPTIONAL service from Heather made for an extra positive experience.
We visited the store to check out a pair of tall, hot-weather hiking boots seen on Cabela's website; they ultimately did not fit me well. But Heather quickly guided us to superior options for fit, function and comfort. She is very knowledgable about the various boot styles and functions, friendly and attentive in finding the right boot for my purpose (mowing a large yard to keep ground bees off my ankles vs. hiking!). She brought all options to me while I was testing them out, retrieved several from the back room without hesitation. Heather also explained the easy return policy should they not work out after breaking them in at home.
What a refreshing service experience after visiting other shoe stores in the past where you get very little/no help and with little guidance about product details. Definitely going back to this store for apparel, boots and sporting interests...
