I will start with I like Panda Express, however, this experience has made me think again. It began with them not having food ready for ourselves and the patron in front of us (pretty typical). They had his food under the heat lights and they moved mine to the counter while they were moving all around it, finally after 3ish minutes the food I was waiting for was finally finished, they changed out the wok, served the patron in front of me, waited another 3ish min for them to come to mine to put fresh food on my plate. During this time our other meal has been made and waiting on the counter, under bi heat whatsoever. They put the food on the tray and she literally puts the food on top of a cleaning rag, she then makes us fresh food. By this time my food is a good 6 minutes sitting there, if not more. I asked the guy to remake it since it has been sitting for well over 5 minutes and he ask why, I proceed to tell him it sat there that long. He goes over to the food woks and puts the food that's been sitting back in the woks with the fresh food. I tell him I don't want it, he tells me it's fine and they will just re-warm for the next customer. He then tells manager on duty about what I said and that "I think the food is cold", its not that i think it is cold, it was it laid there for about 10. I am not sure if that's common practice, to put food thats been sitting to be put back in the wok to re heat but it shouldn't. That's disgusting and disappointing in this company I would expect higher quality. Let's just say would it have been done if the inspector was there, no it would not! Let me also mention there was not one clean table or area in that whole restaurant at this time, it was 3 in the afternoon. It seems like it definitely need to have some restructuring practices under way....
Read moreThe over all experience at this location is hit or miss. Depending on the day and the staff working you can move through the line fluidly or stand there while one person does all of the work for the front, including the drive through. The food portions when the store opened were about the same as other panda's but lately have been sub par. Now, i know it's not expensive by far and i can order an additional side but when i'm only given 4 pieces of chicken to begin with there's an issue with that "portion" Having worked years in fast food i'm aware of the struggles of food cost and keeping a customer happy but they have to find their happy medium. The eggrolls almost always are burnt here, the noodles, rice and vegetables always seem to be fine. The entree items get rushed during peak hours and thus taste weird as if not cooked long enough before serving, BUT that doesn't mean they're undercooked. I normally get Bejing Beef and Orange chicken with noodles and generally they're fine but the beef sometimes tastes a little fishy from i assume not cooking the sauce long enough once it's on the meat, or perhaps because there's too much sauce on the meat. overall the store is still trying to figure out it's rhythm. There is one cashier there who gets overwhelmed easily and can appear more frustrated than she...
Read moreI have always enjoyed coming to this Panda Express but yesterday’s experience completely changed my perspective. I went through the drive thru and ordered 2 plates. One with double sweet fire chicken & chow mein. Once we got home, we realized they had only given me a single serving instead of double. No big deal, we go back and they say that there was a miscommunication between the workers and they gave me my extra serving. We then proceed to ask if they can add some chow mein onto our order. Jamie, the “friendly” employee proceeds to tell us we weren’t missing chow mein. No, we weren’t missing the chow mein, we just wanted more and we were going to pay for it! She then gives us a dirty look, hands the serving of our entree over, tells us to hold on, and then closes the drive thru window. We can hear her yelling at the other employees with the drive thru window CLOSED and saying “they weren’t missing chow mein”. At this point, I could careless about the chow mein, I am considered and frustrated as to why she is speaking to her coworkers like this. I’ve worked in the food & retail industry and couldn’t imagine speaking to my coworkers the...
