This could get long but not a pleasant experience. Ordered our food with the expectations they were bringing it to the table. The guy behind counter was not very informative. Ordered 2 gyro sandwiches, spanikopita and a watermelon salad with 2 water cups. Sat right up front no problem. Went to go fill up water cups and on one my finger accidentally hits the drink lever. By the reaction of the employee who was standing nearby she had to explain this process of dispensing water only as to infer I was taking a shot of lemonade with my water that I didn't pay for. So as a 59 year old I nice explained NY finger hit it on accident. From her look it seemed like was steeling out of the register. I slowly poured it down the drain and refilled without that $25 shot of lemonade. Thank you so much for keeping me honest Great Greek. Our food started to arrive piece by piece. I forgot. Ordered soup to. This came out first and then in a couple minutes out come the sandwiches and spanikopita. Both were very good. Still waiting on watermelon salad. I had asked twice with the guyvtelling us he's still waiting on it. Well after 23 minutes and watching watermelon salad go to people behind us after ordering at least 5 to 10 minutes after I waited for 3 more minutes. Went to the register to just get a refund as we could wait no longer. Lady in the back came up, the lemonade police and told me she couldn't refund something we never recived. Only a gift card she could give. Were not for this state so she still, no refund. He told her to forget this and we just left in disbelief. She then comes running out with a gift card to thier place which where don't live and said heres the gife card. Kinda laughed and told her to give the salad or gift card to the next patron. Truly unbelievable. This makes our Greek City Resturaunt in Springhill Hill FL look a high end food with incredible service which is never bad. The food we got was good but the atmosphere of the hip hop music and the not so good service and what we think disrupted a/c made it a 1 star visit. Good food is great but can be diminished with horrible service. Thank you...
Read moreWent in for lunch with my mom on Tuesday, September 2 around 1 pm. It was going to be our first time eating here. Two people seemed to be standing off to the side and waiting for carry out/delivery orders and about half of the small seating area was occupied. We were kindly greeted by the person behind the counter. We asked if we could take a minute to look at the menu and they happily agreed. We looked at the menu for about three minutes, made our choices and ordered our food. We were told they were out of the lemon potatoes, but not big deal we didn’t really need that much food just wanted to try them. Decided to add baklava as a fun treat and it’s usually one of my mom’s favorite desserts. We were about to pay for our food when the one person working in the kitchen yells out to the front that they can’t take any more orders because they’re too backed up with DoorDash orders. The counter person then tells us they actually can’t take our order and that they’re too busy. We left without ordering anything. I find it frustrating that they let us go through that whole process of choosing our food and ordering our food when we were the only customers standing there to do so and they could’ve just said that right away. No one was in line behind us .They could’ve slid us between carry out orders. We wouldn’t have minded to wait a little more than what is typically normal if asked. I find it ridiculous that a business would prefer to get better ratings on DoorDash than from their in person customers. Why do you have a food truck if you can’t staff your restaurant? Just frustrating, especially when we wanted to try a place for the first time and that’s the impression we...
Read moreWhile out and about, I made a spontaneous stop at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Centerville, and let me tell you—it was one of the best food decisions I’ve made in a long time!
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service at the counter. The menu looked amazing, so I went with the Greek Salad Chicken Wrap combo, complete with feta fries (yes, FETA FRIES!) and a soft drink to-go. I’ll admit, I had a bit of sticker shock at the total—but that all changed the moment I picked up my order.
The bag was heavy—like, could-double-as-a-kettlebell heavy—and the heavenly aroma wafting from it had me practically floating home like a cartoon character drawn to a pie on a windowsill. Why the weight? Because the portions are enormous! This meal could easily feed two people or cover me for lunch and dinner, no problem.
To top it all off, the manager personally made sure I left with a VIP card, which gives me $10 off after just 5 visits. You can bet I’m already planning my return trips. That kind of customer appreciation just adds to the already great experience.
So if you’re craving bold Mediterranean flavors, generous portions, and top-notch service, don’t walk—RUN to Great Mediterranean Grill. I left feeling full, happy, and honestly a little smug about my excellent lunch choice. Or as I like to put it: fat and...
