I’ll start out by establishing that Mariló has been my hair stylist for 4 years. I had moved to Arizona 5 years ago and had to part ways with a fantastic hairstylist in Chicago whom I saw exactly 10 years. I don’t hop around, when I find quality, I stay with quality.

My first hair dresser in AZ ruined my hair in one year’s time - something I had never experienced before! I was desperate to find a quality hair dresser. I found that many American (I’m from a country in Europe) stylists either do not know or do not care to cut your hair well.

Fast forward, I chose to try Marilo because I could tell from her work that she was immaculate in her cutting skills. Then I learned she was from Spain and that perked my interest even more, knowing European quality… Marilo didn’t disappoint and immediately told me that it would take about 12 months for my hair to get healthy again. My cut and partial highlights looked night and day from what I received the year prior.

In four years, there has not been one time where I felt she didn’t continue to exert the same effort and detail as on my first appointment. She always goes the extra mile and will give you her honest suggestions.

I always get a partial highlight and cut. Well, I receive compliments all the time and people asking me who is my hair stylist - even if it’s been 4 months and I’m due another highlight. Marilo does such a fine job with my highlights that the growing out process is always very natural. I’ve had another hairstylist approach me as she was confused if I had balayage or highlights!

I would highly recommend Marilo. We first meet this past June when I went in with a horrible haircut. I have a lot of curly hair and the way it was cut I looked like a broom! I went in feeling my ugliest. By the end of the session I felt myself again. I also desperately needed a color correction as well but I didn’t until today. I went in and got a belayage. And boy was it worth it. My hair color before was ashy and choppy. Now it’s even and natural looking. I love that she lightened up my hair without over bleaching it or giving me too much highlights. She even used lowlights to tone down my grown out brassy blonde. Seriously. You won’t meet any other stylist that puts their whole heart and soul into their work than Marilo. She is always learning and going to classes to better her art. That is amazing to me. That she knows she can alway learn more and perfect her art. In the past with stylists, I usually felt rushed or guilty because my hair was a lot of work and always took a long time. But Marilo made me feel proud of my curly hair. Marilo is awesome! She is very professional and a very lovely and friendly person. She takes passion in what she does and she does it well! When I first came to Marilo about a year ago my hair was damaged. I told her I would like highlights low lights but she recommended me to wait until my hair was a little bit more healthier. That was the best decision I made. She could have just taken my money and highlighted my hair but she didn’t. Any other salon wouldn’t have been honest and would have taken my money and damaged my hair even more! Not Marilo. She takes pride in doing hair. Marilo is the only person that has ever styled my hair “the right way!” I will never go to anyone else!! I am going to have her do my hair with balayage soon. If Marilo recommends you to wait to process your hair, definitely listen to her! She knows what she’s talking about. She’s not out to just take your money. She wants you to have healthy, beautiful hair! She is constantly continuing her education learning the newest trends. She travels to NY and San Francisco being taught and learning from the best.
