We booked tickets for a ghost tour but then had decided to cancel a couple hours beforehand because the weather forecast called for thunderstorms that evenikng. Sadly, it turned out that there was only a small sprinkle (at least in North Charleston where we were staying) so we were bummed to miss the tour. However, this review is really about the customer service I received when I called (at the last minute) to cancel. Mike, the owner, was super kind and accommodating and never gave me any grief whatsoever. Although I think they conducted the tour, I saw the refund on my credit card when I looked 2 days later (THANK YOU!). Read moreWe joined the Pleasing Terrors ghost tour on Friday, September 19th at 9:30 pm, led by Mike Brown. With 2o+ years of experience, Mike is not only deeply knowledgeable but also incredibly engaging. His stories were both fascinating and well-researched—every anecdote was backed up with thoughtful detail and context.
What stood out most was the way Mike connected information with the actual locations, tying the beginning and end together in a way that made the history come alive. It wasn’t just a ghost tour; it felt like walking through Charleston’s past with a skilled storyteller who truly knows and loves his craft.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone...
Read moreWe had a great time on Mike Brown’s ghost tour! He has done his research and is a natural storyteller with great delivery. We passed other tour guides while on tour with Mike and heard the others trying to be too theatrical and showy. Mike tells ghost stories about Charleston with ease and lets the history do the entertaining. You get some great stories and a nice walk around the historic district during your 90 minutes on tour. We’d absolutely recommend Pleasing Terrors for your...
