Liz Made This the Best Tour We’ve Ever Experienced!
I’ve been on ghost tours before, but none come close to the experience we had on the Ghosts of Charleston Nighttime Tour with Liz as our guide! From the moment the tour started, Liz captivated us with her warm personality, knowledge of Charleston’s history, and an almost magical ability to bring the city’s ghostly tales to life.
Liz isn’t just a guide—she’s a storyteller in the truest sense of the word. Every detail she shared was researched and delivered with such passion that we found ourselves hanging onto every word. She has an uncanny gift for painting vivid pictures with her words, making it easy to imagine Charleston’s past right before our eyes.
But what really sets Liz apart is her deep respect and empathy for the spirits she speaks of. When we entered the Unitarian Church Graveyard, she transformed what could have been a spooky visit into an almost reverent experience. Her stories about the souls resting there weren’t just tales to entertain—they were heartfelt tributes that left us with chills and a newfound appreciation for the history she so expertly shared.
Liz has a way of making every guest feel like they’re part of something special, and it’s clear she loves what she does. If you’re looking for a tour that’s equal parts educational, thrilling, and unforgettable, make sure you ask for Liz by name. Her enthusiasm, authenticity, and pure talent make this the must-do experience in Charleston. Thank you, Liz, for giving us a night we’ll...
Read moreCame to Charleston over mlk weekend. Out of all the ghosts tours we at 1st choose this particular one out of convenience on a Sunday late night and last minute. The book shop is cute! Our guide Brian was Phe-nom-en-al!!!! I have been on enough ghost tours in various areas, but this one tops them all. Brian took the time to get to know us all in the group. We all found so many ways we were connected, it was cool. One lady had her luggage with her and he offered to let her keep it in his car while we completed the tour. Southern hospitality at its finest. Brian’s story telling, vocal variety and choice of words was very captivating. I am definitely more spooked out these days than I used to be in my teens but I was scared and so engrossed in the stories all in the same time. It was cool to see the picture and go into the cemetery. The price for the tour and what we got do not compare. You really get your moneys worth. I left this tour wanting to look more into these stories. Brian was able to resurface my passion for history. As a teacher I only wish I could engage my classes as well as he did. You will not be disappointed. Sorry to the ladies who got spooked by my boyfriend. He was the only male...
Read moreMy cousins and I met up in Charleston for a long weekend. We went on the Ghost tour with our guide Simon. He’s a great storyteller and guide. I find ghost tours fun and go for the historical aspects. Orbs and aspirations ehh, not a believer. Anyways we got to the Unitarian Church. My cousin and I were drawn to a different part of the cemetery while the rest of the group went along with Simon. We took a detour and wandered a path and stopped at a small site, I took a photo. We stood a few more moments before making our way to the other side of graveyard and rejoining the group. After stories about a few of those laid to rest, Simon tells us he will take us by the grave of Mary - the star of that segment. He lead us straight to the grave we had been drawn to. The photo I took I gave fo Simon. There’s some white light I cannot explain over her grave. Any other “orbs” I caught on the tour were light reflections. But that one??? Why were we drawn to go off wandering a dark graveyard and stop at that one??? Take the tour, learn some history and maybe Mary will ask you to...
