I would like to give a disclaimer by saying, "I do not want what I am about to say affect and alter any ones perception of Edomae but what I encountered was too far of a bad first experience to let slide, I am not exercising my first amendment right to sway the opinion of others but to call out a company that provides a good and service and should accommodate to the customer that are using their goods or service(I am a customer care representative, I would know)" So, I went in for my pick up order that my coworker placed, she also as well as another coworker ordered food that they asked me to pick up for them. I was not aware that they put their sushi rolls together and that you have to ask them to separate it. So I received the rolls I placed an order for and they were aesthetically not up to par, meaning they were clumped together and tearing apart because of it. I am an avid sushi and roll eater and know when something should look a certain way. I did what any person who is receiving something they are not happy with, I spoke up to what the problem was. I showed this to the receptionist and she agreed that there was something that did not look right about what I received and she did not think it would be a problem. So she asked her manger and they were looking at it questioning what the problem was. I was trying to make even of what was given to me on the lunch special because i was not satisfied with the rolls. They were very confused on what I was trying to say and time began to run out because I was on a 30 minute lunch break and I was already 12 minutes into my break from driving and sitting there trying to figure out a resolution. They offered to make again but as I did not have time for them to make it over. He also offered to separate them, but as I stated before the sushi rolls were not aesthetically pleasing because the rice was falling off of the seaweed and it just looked rushed making when me and my coworkers placed the order for a 12:30 PM pick up almost 20-30 minutes prior to receiving the food. So I had no time to wait so I told them to just provide me with a refund and I would just cut my losses. i drive back to my place of work a little upset. i arrived to my job ready to just eat my shrimp and chicken plate that I had received from them hoping that it would accommodate my taste buds for what i was planning to eat. It came with THREE shrimp and was three dollars extra, I called in as soon as i could to inform them that I was unaware paying extra for something would give you such a small quantity of it. The manager stated that there was nothing he could do and it was a dollar per shrimp and I was just trying to say there has to be someway to be accommodated for the lack there of. He continued to tell me it was a special and that there was nothing he could do. If I did not like it I could just bring it back and kept saying it was a special so there was nothing he could do but the problem was that he kept saying that about the rolls I had already turned it in and got my money back. I then addressed how one of my coworkers was charged an additional 2 dollars on an order that was $8.61. He was addressing an issue that ad nothing to do with why I was calling I mentioned it stating a fact not dwelling on it. He then begins to get loud with me and tells me to "be quite" at this point I am livid because I was not trying to get mad and that put me over the edge. What makes this whole situation worse is one of my coworkers was not pleased with her food and he did not charge her and gave her a refund. I will never eat here again, even still ate the food I had because i was hungry and had no breaks left so I had to eat or I was going to starve. Read moreAfter working a long shift as a nurse. I stopped to in to grab a bite to eat on my way home. The restaurant doesn’t close until 10 pm. I arrived at 915. The waitress told me that they close in 45 min and reinforced with me 3x that they were closing in 45 min. She said maybe you should order to go. I said no I would still like sit down and eat. She said ok but I’m just letting you know you have 45 min and we close. I then asked her if she was the manager and she said no. I told her that the way she was treating me was poor customer service. I just got out of work and would like to eat dinner. I came into here to eat and not be rushed by a waitress because you are closing in 45 min. I ordered my food within 2 min of sitting down. I frequent this place and am disgusted by the way I am being treated. I told her I would be talking to the manager. Again she said I was just letting you that we close in 45 min. I don’t mean to make you feel rushed. I told well I do and it’s rude behavior.i work in customer service and you don’t treat people this way.
Another family walked in after me and they were greeted with respect and they were NOT told they were closing in 25 min and maybe should order to go.
When I asked to talk to the manager they told me was not not here. I ask for his name and they stuttered over their words. I again asked for a name. I was told again there is no manager. I said who is your boss. She said the boss is not here. I said what’s his name. She said “Joey”. I said what’s Joey’s last name they could not tell me. She said we call him Joe. I then ask the gentleman making sushi who the manager of the restaurant is and he told me his name is “Andy”. Trying to pay my bill, I sat here for 15 min waiting on someone to come back to my table.

When I received my order they only gave me 2 PIECES OF EACH SUSHI ROLL I ORDERED. As any other person would assume, I ordered the rolls under the sushi category and assumed I would receive the rolls as normal, boy was I wrong. So I called the restaurant because I feel like I spent a good amount of money here, they should be able to accommodate me and my order… AND MAURY SAID THAT WAS A LIE. The restaurant worker started to gaslight me and was being nonchalant about the whole thing, like I get you just work here but I feel like I’m getting robbed because I ordered one thing but received Something completely different and I spent a good amount of money. Thank goodness that Uber Eats was able to assist me better than the restaurant. Besides that, the food was very mediocre and kinda disappointing too. Usually in hibachi style restaurants, they would give fried rice with their bento box. This restaurant gave white rice and it didn’t give an option to change it. The presentation and the taste was very bland, boring and lazy. Will definitely NOT return! Please save yourself some money and time and don’t eat here! I didn’t order sushi nigiri, I ordered under sushi category. And if I ordered thru Uber eats it’s obviously for a reason.
