Queen City Market — Local services in Charlotte

Queen City Gifts and News is a place I stop every time I am at the Charlotte airport (CLT). They have a wide variety of snacks and beverages. Personally, I appreciate that they have a great selection of protein shakes and other healthier alternatives for a quick grab 'n' go option. In addition, they are centrally located between A, B, and C terminals. Their staff is always friendly and quick to check you out. There are normally two team members to check you out on different sides of the store and they work together to make sure one line is not longer than the other. Since CLT is a hub, many people are trying to get a connecting flight; so it is wonderful to have fast service! On another note, I needed a copy of a receipt from a previous transaction. I had a terrible experience at this shop in the airport. The prices on the items did not match what they charged at the register. When I pointed it out, the worker dismissed me and said “that’s what it shows on the computer.” I told them they need to correct the displayed price, but instead I was told I should ask for the price before buying anything,so basically they expect customers to confirm every single item before purchase? Today wasn’t the best day by far and some would say because it’s Friday the 13th. Lines were long, Tsa slow, everything’s closed planes delayed from weather having to go to this high price store i thought. However, boy was i wrong the cashier name was Darryl Ashe, he was super pleasant, cheerful and an overall vibe.
