I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Kebab in Charlotte, and it was an exceptional experience overall. Their Philly Cheesesteak is an absolute standout. You can really taste the quality of the beef—it’s tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It’s not something you’d expect to find at a Mediterranean restaurant, but they’ve nailed it!
The soup was another highlight for me. It’s hearty, comforting, and well-seasoned—perfect for warming you up on a chilly day. The salad, on the other hand, is quite simple, mostly greens with a light dressing. While it might be a bit plain for some, it works well as a refreshing complement to the more robust flavors of the main dishes.
As for the Chicken Kebab, it’s definitely worth trying. It’s juicy, flavorful, and grilled just right. What really surprised me, though, was the falafel. I’ve never been a fan of falafel anywhere else, but La Kebab has completely changed my opinion. Their falafel is crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and perfectly spiced. Honestly, it’s the only place I’ll eat falafel now!
The overall dining experience is great, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Whether you’re in the mood for Mediterranean classics or something a bit different, La Kebab is a fantastic choice. Highly...
Read moreI have had my fair share of middle eastern cuisine, but I was able to try some new dishes at Le Kebab Grill this weekend! I have found that some middle eastern restaurants can be quite basic so I tend to be picky when it comes to the food. However, this place had a really solid menu! I ordered the Mozat “lamb shank” with yellow rice and the knafeh. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender, and it was even better with the dakous hot sauce. I had thought that the dakous hot sauce would be really spicy but this wasn't the case. It was quite mild which I preferred and it paired well with the lamb. Even if you are sensitive to a little spice, the yoghurt sauce will balance it out. The yellow rice was also seasoned and cooked perfectly. As for the knafeh, this was a whole new experience for me. Somehow a specialty cheese, kataifi pastry, and a sugary syrup all came together to make for a very unique dessert. It was served warm and it was quite tasty. I feel like this is something you just have to try since a description doesn't do it justice. The service was also super personable and was able to educate me more on the food as well. I would definitely check this place out if you are...
Read moreI ordered a lamb shawarma sandwich with fries to go. The service was friendly and fast. I am giving it 2 stars because the lamb shawarma was the worst I’ve ever eaten!!! The fries were actually decent and they add the fry spice which makes it taste better. I spent a lot of years in the Middle East and I have even cooked lamb shawarma myself and I’ve never eaten it so terrible until last week! It was very hard, dry and the spice was wrong!!! It is supposed to be very tender and juicy. I will NOT be ordering from there ever again!! **To be really authentic the food should be cooked and prepped by authentic chefs, as well should be fresh every time and never frozen or kept in fridge for a significant amount of time. Also, unless a person has been in the Middle East, you will never know what authentic Arabic food tastes like, you think this is authentic but it’s really not unfortunately; This is very devastating for me and other people alike. I would rather cook at home my Arabic dishes for quality food. ** If you do decide to visit this place, make sure your food is FRESHLY COOKED, otherwise you’re setting yourself up for a very disappointing meal...
