I really like this market. If you go on a Friday that's usually the freshest their veggies come in the night before. They have a good selection of fresh veggies, cold items, meats and assortment of Asian items including Korean, Chinese, some Japanese, and maybe Vietnamese if I'm remembering correctly. There's another Asian market in Charlottesville that's primarily Chinese but I don't like the parking. I like this market cause it's easy to park, the veggies are fresh, I can go there after I go to Costco and rarely went to other markets if I went here and Costco I usually had all that I needed. I also like the cashier on Fridays as that's my primary shopping day, she was always very helpful, friendly, unlike some Asian markets where they just look at you and don't really say anything - and I'm part Chinese but I was born in Hawaii so I like people to be a little friendly! Anyway, when I'm back in Charlottesville or if my hubby is going by and I can't find something fresh where we are now, I'll send him there and hope he knows the difference between the various Asian veggies. Love the kim chee, aloe drink, tofu puffs - all in the back refrigerated section as well as the good selection of tofu. New to Asian cooking, I neede to set up my pantry with authentic ingredients, many - many - of which I was totally unfamiliar with. The husband and wife owners took me under their wing, spent 45 minutes with me, found everything I needed, and made my day.
A wide variety of options were here including Thai, Chinese, and Japanese. There are freezers and refrigerators in the back with fresh produce and frozen seafood/pastes, etc. Glass noodles, rice noodles, soba, udon, you name it. All manner of sauces - soy, fish, chili, garlic, black bean, etc. - and fresh lemongrass, garlic chives, galangal (frozen too), tamarind, etc. Prepared rolls and dumplings...a smorgasbord of Asian cuisine.
Store was clean and...

I give three instead of two though because many of the products here are good, such as the Thai tea sachets I'm now in love with. TLDR: Come here for a quick product run, not for...
