I used to really love this store, but then my body changed. I went in to look for a baby shower dress and, for context, Iām 8 months pregnant. Im definitely not a small anymore but Iāve been lucky to have a basketball-under-the-shirt type pregnancy and most size larges accommodate the bump. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a woman who asked what I was here for. I told her, and she frowned at me and said she didnāt think anything in the store would fit me except maybe a pink dress on display. I said I knew it could be a challenge to dress the bump but Iāve been able to find some dresses that work in similar boutiques. She again expressed she didnāt think that would happen. I told her I wanted to look anyway, and she proceeded to ignore me the rest of the visit. I actually found several dresses that would work but was so turned off by the customer service I decided not to even bother trying anything on. I didnāt think it would be met with any kind of enthusiasm and I just donāt want to spend money somewhere Iām clearly no longer welcome. Its sad because, again, I used to love this store. Thankfully I was able to find two other dresses at two other boutiques on North Shore, RiverCity Apparel and Emmalineās Boutique. Bonus: the staff at both places...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām a Director of Fashion Design at a New York company and work remotely from Chattanooga part of the year. Iāve shopped in the store a couple of times and have been disappointed with awkward customer/sales service each time. I find the buying and marketing for the store is very exclusive; it seems itās only marketed toward a very specific customer (white ((all the social is on blonde white girls)) and/or slim/tween fit) which is disappointing considering the dynamic cultural population in Chattanooga. I also think the return policy lacks flexibility (7 days or no return/exchange). In todayās climate, weāre still up against COVID surges (and quarantining) and holiday travels. Most brands and boutiques offer minimum 14 days year round and 31+ days during holiday shopping. And Iād be remiss not to mention, their ādesignerā product authenticity is questionable. The shop isnāt very progressive, cultural or customer centric which is a miss. I think thereās some work to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly do I feel the need to write a review when I feel like there is specific information that someone who is thinking about shopping a store should know firstā¦. If you shop here, be prepared to feel judged the entire time, unless you look exactly like one of the mannequins in their store. They need to work on their personal opinions and their unwanted suggestions. Second, if you do decide to buy something from this store and are questioning if you will absolutely love it after you purchase it, make sure they do their job and inform you about their silly āsmall businessā return policy before purchasing, as most businesses should. You only get store credit if you return within 7 days, and no cash back, itās not even an option⦠so make sure you love what you get. Itās definitely a self centered shop and not a shop that wants to work with its customers. Thereās not much to choose from anyways. Shop at your own...
