I have filed a formal complaint against the daytime manager of It's Fashion-located at 480 Greenway View Drive. On Friday, 5/23 at approx. 3:30 p.m. I witnessed a customer be discriminated against and berated by the store manager. Two young adults, 1 20 and the other a teenager requested to use the dressing room. The cashier on shift unlocked the door and granted them entry. The store manager proceeded to yell across the store telling them they could not be in the dressing room together. The teen was already partially undressed and asked if she could have just a minute to pull her clothing back on. The manager then ran across the store and yelled again for them to get out of the dressing room. She then stood outside of the door which was very intimidating as an onlooking shopper. The 20-year-old exited the dressing room, and it was clear she was trying to help her sister dress however the manager still insisted on yelling about this situation. The 20-year-old grew agitated and asked the manager to please stop talking to her, she was no longer in the dressing room, and she only wanted the cashier to assist her. This made the manager even more upset, and she told the young girls to "Get out of the store". In this particular area there are not a ton of clothing stores, and it was also clear the ladies really needed to find something to wear for an event today. The 20-year-old tried to explain this however the manager proceeded to call the police because she didn't like the way the girl told her she didn't want her help. ---As someone in leadership there was certainly a better way to de-escalate this situation. Chattanooga is a small community and to waste the time and resources of police officers clearly shows a lack of professionalism. The manager yelled throughout the store over NOTHING and created a very hostile shopping environment. I am a frequent shopper and I will never spend money with It's Fashion again. I will not say this was racially motivated although the manager is white and the two young girls were black, but I will say there certainly lies some unconscious bias, lack of sensitivity and customer training, as well as poor leadership. She should not be...
Read moreSo I was there on New Year's Eve, to find a cute outfit. I had also grabbed a pair of earrings to pair it with my outfit. I knew I couldn't go in the fitting room with the merchandise so I had kindly asked the store manager if she can hold it for me, which she did. She was polite and kindly introduced herself in case I needed any additional help. After finding the perfect NYE outfit I went up to the register and asked the cashier about my pair of earrings that was put on hold. I kid you not and I'm not even exaggerating, she didn't even bother to look! She stood there and looked to her left and right and said to me "well they gone now" I was highly dismay with her customer service skills and her response. She was absolutely rude, and pathetic with no customer service training... so I went to find the store manager and asked her about the earrings she was nice enough to find them for me with no attitude. I don't shop there often with an expectation of finding something cute and easy. But that'll be the last time they'll...
Read moreThere were clothes everywhere. The store was a mess. The staff was extremely RUDE! No one greeted me or asked if I needed anything. The store was HOT, at least 100 degrees. I couldn't get a dressing room. And when I went to check out and changed my mind about 1 item, the girl told me to put it on the rack instead of doing her job and returning it to the rack herself. I simply sat it on the counter. She then got an attitude and slammed my merchandise and reciept on the counter, while rolling her eyes. I will never...
