I recently had my first Crate and Barrel experience, and it was far from what I had hoped for. I worked with a designer who came to measure and select pieces for my new home, and I ended up purchasing a significant amount of furniture—including a sectional, dresser and nightstand set, coffee table, TV console, bar cabinet, and more.
From the very first delivery, issues began. The sectional, which turned out to be too big for my space, had to be returned. Fortunately, I was able to keep one section to serve as a temporary couch, or else I would have been left without seating entirely. Things only got worse from there: the dresser and console table arrived damaged, the bar cabinet featured a cracked marble top, the coffee table was missing screws, and a lamp even arrived with a crushed shade.
After enduring five separate delivery attempts, I finally decided to return the entire order—except for a floor mirror and a different lamp. The pickup process was equally frustrating. On the first attempt, I was yelled at by a dispatcher over the phone; during the second, a full truck was sent with me as the first stop, forcing another reschedule; and finally, it took a third pickup attempt to have everything removed. To add insult to injury, my walls suffered damage from repeated delivery attempts throughout my home.
Ultimately, I turned to LoveSac, Wayfair, and Bassett for my replacement purchases, and they provided a flawless experience. While I understand that the team at Cherry Hill Crate and Barrel might be excellent, my experience suggests that the company’s choice of subcontractors—especially in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area—leaves a lot to be desired.
For anything more than household knick-knacks, this will be my last purchase at...
Read moreOur daughter could have been seriously hurt at this location. After having dinner at a restaurant near this location in Cherry Hill we decided to make a quick stop into the Crate & Barrel as we have never been in there before. Everything in there seemed nice and when we first walked in the employee was very nice to us. But that all changed after our 6 year old daughter fell face first on to the concrete floor. After making sure she was ok I looked over at the woman at the desk wondering when she was going to ask if our daughter was okay or if there was something she could help us with.....you know! Something after you just stand there as see her fall. NOTHING! That made me even more upset than I already was. I had to say to the woman. "Our daughter just fell over this thing in your floor and you need to put out a caution sign! Some type of in floor light or something was broken and they put packing tape over it!!! NOT ONE EMPLOYEE CAME OVER TO CHECK ON HER! 5 minutes later as the store was closing an EMPLOYEE came up to us, NOT to ask if our daughter was ok and she was sorry she fell but to ask us if we found everything we were looking for!?!?! Yes the door we are leaving AND WILL NEVER BE BACK. To the higher ups of this company it would be a good idea to have a chat with your cherry hill location about the night of 11-16-18. I'm wondering if the shoe was on the other foot how they would feel.
Update- We did get a phone call a few days after this post from the head store manager and she personally talk with myself and my daughter to make sure she was ok and to apologize for our horrible experiences. If we ever do go back she ask us to call her head of time and will meet...

I purchased a bed on September 1st. I had to call customer service multiple times to update my shipping address and still had to call on the morning of the delivery October 26th because it was being delivered to the old address. All I received was an incorrect headboard. Customer service told me it was a warehouse mispick and that the warehouse couldn't find my correct order. The bed is now backordered until mid December and I can't get it until then. This bed was in stock when I ordered it.
Customer service scheduled a pickup for the wrong headboard and still had the old address! I had to call again to tell them they need to pick up the wrong headboard from my new address, and they ended up cancelling the pickup. So now I have a big headboard taking up space in my apartment that I never ordered.
I've had to call customer service so many times it makes my head spin. They are nice, but ultimately the service being provided to me is terrible. I haven't been offered any compensation for having to wait 3+ months for this bed or the multiple times I've had to call to update my address.
I would not advise anyone to order from Crate & Barrel due to the awful service.
Edit: The bed was delayed AGAIN until an estimate of Mid January. Also, Crate and Barrel deleted my review on the product page of their website which is disgusting behavior. The phone number given in the Response from the owner is just the Crate and Barrel customer service number which I have called previously. Do not ever purchase furniture from...
