ADA discrimination. Refused to allow a legally protected (and perfectly behaved) dog within store. Dog is not registered in this state yet due to a military move.
Here's the law:
Service Animals in Michigan Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public entities and places of public accommodation such as state and local governments, businesses, and non-profit organizations cannot discriminate against persons with disabilities in their programs, services, or activities. Generally, this means that they must allow service animals to accompany persons with disabilities into areas and locations where the public is allowed to go.
Although the ADA does not apply to service animals in training, effective March 28, 2023, a new Michigan law Public Act 75 of 2022 - Service Animals in Training requires service animals in-training to be admitted into places of public accommodation located in Michigan if they are accompanied by an animal trainer or raiser for the purpose of training or socializing the animal. MDCR does not have jurisdiction over complaints regarding service animals in training, therefore complaints should be directed to local law enforcement.

Read moreBottle deposit machine was full, it said to see someone in the store to unload it. I asked a male cashier, middle aged man with dark hair if he could call someone. No answer. I asked again if he could call someone, he said he didn't have anyone to unload it. So I asked if that means it won't get done today, because I would then just put my bottles back in the car and try again a different day. He looked at me and didn't answer. If you don't like dealing with customers, si.ply find a job that isn't focused around customers. But to be rude and ignore someone who is trying to be accommodating is juat plain rude. I won't be returning to the Aldi even though it is right by my house.
Aldi also needs to hire more people, or get a second bottle machine. The poor behavior from this man is his fault, the low staffing at this Aldi is Aldi's fault. If going to this store, I would advise avoiding...

However the last two times I have gone you have double charged myself for items when I only had one in the cart to purchase. I get that you are super busy and rushing to get enough checked out. But slow down a little. And the only reason I know I have been doubled charge is looking at my receipt once I get home.
Example yesterday I was charged twice for eggs and only purchased one. Now not huge deal but when shopping on a super strict budget every penny counts if it happens a lot then your hurting your customers bank accounts.
Employees please just be aware when scanning so fast. I have kept my receipt at well. Lesson learned i will be paying more attention to you scanning...
