Really rude employee giving me a hard time retuning an item when I attempted to return the item he damaged the packaging and then proceeded to tell me I have to pay for a restocking fee even though it was him who damaged the packaging. Absolutely unacceptable, I’d recommend that if you’re looking for something to go to the other harbor freight where this guy is not at you’ll have a much better experience. **update note went to the store I bought it at and this petty employee tried to prevent me from returning the item by adding a flag to my account for suspicious activity once I explained my situation to both the customer service call center and to the manager at the other store he did not charge me the restocking fee and was able to bypass the flag that the chubby employee with a power trip tried to make it on my account to disable my ability to return and I got my full refund of the item taxes and all” Complaint has been filed against the chubby employee and from what the agent told me on the hike this is not the first or last complaint against this store and the District Manager is currently working on a plan to get rid of the people who have an attitude. The man who stands at the front of the store and by the register trying to look like he’s doing something is the rudest. He wears a tool belt and just stands around the front of the store while watching the cashier struggle with a 4 person line. I went up to him to ask him a question, and he did not even acknowledge me or seem willing to talk to me. That made me think maybe I wasn’t speaking to an employee, so I said “Oh excuse me, do you work here?” he very rudely replied “well yeah” and looked at me like i’d just asked him to give me $100.00 out of his wallet. While waiting in line, I experienced him attack another customer who walked in. He replied so rudely to this customer that the customer had to say “Okay sorry man, just asking just asking.” It’s insane.    Read moreMy husband shops at the 23 mile and Gratiot location often. We went in this evening to purchase an air compressor and could not find it on the shelf. My husband approached one of the store personnel and told him what he was looking for and the store clerk told him we don't have any and my husband was going to ask are you getting any in and the gentleman cut him off mid sentence and stated "we dont know when we are going to get any in or when as they could be on any truck at any time". Not a very customer friendly personality I would want representing my store, didn't even ask for our name and number and will give us a call when they come in.
