Panera Bread — Restaurant in Chesterfield Township

Had lunch there today. Ordered a chicken ceaser salad. Could not believe how small qty of food was for the price. Could count the number of small pieces of chicken on one hand. Salad and drink was just under $10. Next time I’ll go to WENDY’s for their chicken salad. A bigger meal for less money. I’ll stick with the bagels next time. Stopped at this Panara Bread this morning. One cashier for four people in line. Line moved very slow. Thought about walking out after 5-7 minutes waiting in line, place order for a bagel and drink. Told cashier I'd like bagle toasted brown with butter. Waited about 10 minutes for this bagle. My name was never called. Walked up to counter and bagle was sitting there. Looked like it was not toasted. Told the young lady what I asked for. She put back in toaster. This it looked like charcoal she went to get another bagle. Sliced and toasted, first attempted look like first bagle ordered. After send timecof toasting and now waiting close to 20 minutes, I told her that was fine. She places on plate and walks away. Had to ask for butter. Told cashier that butter was part of order. Young lady cooking never said anything about the delay or poor service. During this whole ordeal with the bagle, everything was handled with her bare hands. No plastic glove or paper when touching food. Not sure if this is a acceptable practice with the Macomb Health Dept. Absolutely the worst service for the...

So, this is the second time I ordered for home delivery from this location and it's the second time they threw the everything bagels in with all the other bagels in my order. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not a huge fan of having a toasted Cinnamon Crunch bagel with pieces of onion on the bottom from the hubster's everything bagel on it! When you go in to the location on Hall Road, they always stick them in a small bag inside the box so this doesn't happen. This location? Notsomuch. Yeah, its a small thing, but when it ruins all the other bagels in the box, it's a big deal.

Also, we have a table on the porch for our deliveries to be placed on; my order was set on the cold concrete in the snow. (?) I had a hot sandwich and mac & cheese in there, so that's not something I want artificially cooling off super quick before I even get the chance to get to the door! Also, now I have snow on the bottom of the bagel box that ends up on my kitchen counter...

All in all, I wish I could choose which location would deliver my food. I literally live 4.6 miles from one location and 4.5 from another. Plus, they don't give you space anywhere to note you want freezer bags and, of course, they don't put any in there just on the off chance you...

We stopped here for lunch last weekend. We just moved to this area and we use to frequently go to the Panera on hall road without any issues. This was our first time at this one and it was awful. I attached a picture of the disgusting things I found in my “fresh” lunch. I ordered the you pick two with the half chipotle chicken avocado melt sandwich and strawberry poppyseed sandwich. The one piece of avocado on the sandwich was inedible. It was brown and had a plastic texture like it had been sitting out for days (see picture). In the salad, I found a huge piece of the bottom core of the lettuce which is also inedible and some of the strawberries were moldy (also shown in picture). My husband ordered the Asian crunch salad, but he was given a sandwich instead. We didn’t complain when we got it because we’re pretty easy going people, but had we known how disgusting the food was going to be, we would have said something. We were the only customers at the time, so they had time to make sure the food was correct. For how expensive this place has become, the “fresh” ingredients should really be checked for freshness more often. Sadly, won’t be back. It was a waste of money, we threw out most...
