We had our Bluey Camp x experience today, Thursday June 13th 2024. We bought 3 tickets months in advance for the 4:30pm CST entry. We arrived before 4:30pm. Once we arrived, we were advised we would not be able to have the full experience due to a private event at 5:15pm. Meaning we would only have 45 minutes max to have our Bluey experience. The whole time there we were rushed and pushed through. The actual meeting of Bluey and Bingo for all the kids in our wrist band group lasted a total of 8 minutes before Bluey and Bingo were ushered away for the private event. This was not fair to the kids who were there excited to see them. We were not given prior notice via email or call about the private event happening that would cut into our time. We were advised upon arrival we could reschedule or just do the 45 minutes. We chose the 45 minutes due to having already driven an hour to the event and already paid for parking. We paid for the full experience and should not have been cut short our time. Advanced notice should have been given to everyone that has paid for tickets for that timeframe so we all could have made changes accordingly. The experience would have been way more fun and fair if we were able to enjoy our full time plus an actual meeting with Bluey and Bingo that was not rushed through. Please for future...
Read moreWe went to Camp Chicago for the first time for the Miraculous Ladybug party. I expected a great engaging fun experience for my son who is 5 & loves this cartoon. We arrived 30 minutes early so that he could have time to take in the space. When it was time for the event to start one staff member came over & tried to engage with the kids but it didn't go over very well. Honestly this was the only interaction between the staff & kids. The families went into the room & the staff invited the kids to do crafts. But then that was it. The staff then stood around. My son sneezed & needed a tissue, I asked a staff for assistance she casually walked off then never came back, another staff noticed & immediately knew where to grab paper towels. One family at a time got to go meet Ladybug, there was nothing special about it, no music from the show, nothing. Ladybug just stood there & didn't really engage with my son. Also the photo we got was very blurry & low quality. Since the experience times were only 30 minutes that was it. No dance party. We didn't even know my son could get complimentary face painting or we could have done that while we waited. Initially we were going to visit again when the Gabby experience happens but now after such a lackluster first experience I don't think we'll return...
Read moreOur 5 1/2 and 3 year old had a blast in the Doodle Experience and the store afterwards. Counselors were exceptional and presented the experience with an engaging enthusiasm! The area is larger than we anticipated and they keep the numbers of children/adults in each group to a good size so the children can fully enjoy the experience. Our five year old loved creating her doodle character and discovering the places to add to her doodleâs âwardrobe.â The ball pit, slide, wall to toss soft balls at and transform the doodle characters to bright colors, craft area and more gave the children a lot to enjoy!! Afterwards, we explored the shop and were there over an hourâŚthe real, antique pick up truck with realistic sounds gave our three year old a lot of joy, the horse that moves as you imitate a movement when trotting traveled all around the store with our five year old, fabulous sensory and building toys for all to enjoy and so much more! High quality toys featured at Camp! Other folks in the Doodle experience shared same sentiments on how much fun their children were having. We look forward to returning to the Bluey...
