The manager here is nothing but a liar. Cheated me out of $110 on repair. I recently was looking for local repair shops in order to get my Playstation 4 fixed, in the original models the HDMI ports are extremely cheap and weak and eventually become lose and even damaged needing a replacement. I went up to GamesRUs to give them my game and payment and waited 3 days and it was all fixed is what he told me. I went home plugged my game into its original spot and the following morning when I turned my game back on the hdmi port was loose once again not showing picture. So I returned and he told me it was part of warranty and they are going to open it up and see what the issue is, even though I told him when I met him the exact issue the first time I came, meaning they never even opened it to replace or repair in the first place they just tightened it slightly from the outside. He told me to return 4 days later claiming it was fixed but none of them could get the picture to show on their display tv until one of them realized that they didnât seal the console back up and told me I would have to wait until today Wednesday. I called them today asking what tine would be best to come get it and they told me it was unrepairable because of âthe hdmi, having internal issuesâ and that I also would not be given a refund but I could come get my game and be on my way. After a 30 minute disagreement with them and explaining how over the last 3 weeks I have been extremely patient for a 3-4 day job and extremely respectful for them to tell me that not just all of my money is now theirs but I canât get a single dime or discount for my time and...
Read moreThis store does not verify the authenticity of its games being sold. We bought a copy of Pokemon FireRed version at $100 several months ago which turned out to be a fake. Unfortunately we weren't able to return it due to the store's no refund policy, this is our own fault, we should've done research on how to tell if the game is authentic before purchasing. This review is not based on the store refusing a refund, but based on the store selling a fake copy of this game in the first place. After speaking with the owners, I don't believe they are intentionally selling fake games, but as a vintage game store they have a duty to customers to review the authenticity of the games they are selling.
Edit: Yes, we opened the game as the owners have replied in order to check whether or not it was fake. You can tell whether Pokemon FireRed is fake by checking the motherboard, usually you can do this by holding the game up to the light as the cartridge is semi-transparent but that wasn't possible due to the store's intrusive pricing stickers on both sides. Their reply honestly has me thinking maybe they do sell fake games intentionally. Why would I come back here a year later to leave a review letting people know to stay vigilant about fake games sold at your store if it...
Read moreGreat service great for the neighborhood! I went in to check out the game selection as I have been waiting for a local game store. I left with a new tablet that was half the price Iâve seen at any online store. I got my phone screen fixed, and found the place I will be buying my electronics from for the foreseeable future. Used games are the best they have a card that lets you buy 2 and get 1 free on all used games and they also have some hard to find classics. I came back and bought a classic Nintendo from them the very next day. Please check this place out and support local buisness! The owner will always do his best to look out for his customers, but also understand itâs a small buisness and not a corporate giant like GameStop, which is why itâs important to keep a good buisness and buisness owner in our...
