Sharks Fish Chicken & Grill — Restaurant in Chicago

This was my first time visiting this franchise. It was recommended to me by a friend after we visited Harolds. We were able to get to the restaurant with relative ease. Once arriving, we were able to place various chicken orders along with desserts as well. The orders were completed in a very quick manner. I ordered the 10 piece wing dinner and my friend ordered the 3 piece wing dinner. She ordered the banana pudding as part of the order as well. She really just wanted the banana pudding and ordered several cups due to the fact that we would be on the road for the next six hours. I decided to order the gizzard dinner and a slice of strawberry cheese cake about 10 minutes after the original order was placed. The food was completed at the same time which surprised me. The strawberry cheese cake was very good.

After getting back on the road, I tasted two gizzards and they tasted okay. I normally like my fried foods crispy. These gizzards were not fried hard. After arriving home, I tried to finish them and noticed they tasted a little funny. After eating three more, I realized that these gizzards tasted like cheap frozen fish sticks. I hate the taste of fish. Maybe, they accidentally cooked these gizzards in grease that was mixed with fish grease since they do cook fish as well. This like I said may have been a fluke. The wings tasted good and must have been cooked in separate grease.

The mild sauce was good and the hot sauce that was provided was good as well. The fries that came with the dinner were also good. The restaurant was clean, service was fast, and the prices were decent. I would have rated this place higher, but the fish stick tasting gizzards hurt. The Philly Cheese Steak was satisfying and the fries too. The bread was perfectly soft and warm. This combo meal is cheaper than a nearby restaurant that serves similar sandwiches. I paid $10 here but $12 at the other guys nearby for their Italian Beef sandwich with fries. Will go back to try other foods, including their assorted selections of cakes!

**Update: the Philly chicken is better than the Philly steak! The Philly Steak isn't bad, but I got a feeling that there's a much better one somewhere out there in the culinary world.

**2nd update: OMG you can purchase 6 pieces of some good fried chicken with fries, coleslaw and bread for only SEVEN BUCKS!! (and some change lol). The pieces are 3 thighs & 3 drumsticks. I was surprised you could get that much quality fried chicken WITH sides...

The food was on point. The fries, maybe were the best the double fried style where there extra crispy and crunchy. Shrimp was cooked the same way very good and the catfish was nicely cooked as well. I thought they were a tiny bit stingy on the catfish. Maybe one more piece would have been better. Same thing with the shrimp. But there was a generous amount of fries. I skipped the bread, but there was bread in there too.

They're clean in there some seats but no tables.One could not dine inside the restaurant.That wasn't the worst thing in the world though like I said it was clean and well kempt.
