DTLR — Local services in Chicago

For there to be nothing but black people who work in there, they sure do know how to profile. I had on a head scarf while shopping for a new after work shoe, no one approached me to help me or even greet me. The customers in there were trying on shoes and being catered to by the staff while I found the shoe I wanted to try on by myself. I asked a female worker for my size, she without a word, went to the back and got it. She returned, without a word again, and handed me one shoe & proceeded to go to the counter with the other, I asked her for the other shoe and she finally spoke to me and said they only offer one shoe for try ons. I mentioned to her how I saw a group of people trying on both pairs without a problem. She left without a word and spoke to the manager and returned with the other shoe. Tried it on, wasn’t my size, asked a male associate for another size, he also gave me one shoe when I watched him let other customers try on both sizes. I was in DTLR first thing I heard was try on the display shoe and this was a customer who was at the store as I walked in on like okay if that's cool cuz I have did this before I try on a couple of display shoes because I was told the same thing as the customer was told earlier but when it was time to check out they also tries to give me the shoe from the display like here you go wild taken out another shoe that was trash telling me hey this is a different size of I wanted to look at the size they told me no so I said bye-bye not my money I work hard for this not for you to...

Customer service here is beyond rude. Employees stood around socializing rather than helping customers. When I was finally helped - i requested a shoe and when it was brought out it had several large yellow stains. Seriously? I'm suppose to pay for dirty shoes?? Nah. Main reason I refrain from shopping in certain stores. Sometimes these stereotypes ppl hate are true! Never returning to this place again. I'd rather pay higher prices than do business with this...
