Staff are constantly helping to make domestic violence a real issue in regards to safe zones for adults and children and especially violence by a black man using drugs in the bathroom harming patrons and the witnesses is nit to be tolerated ever and staff lied to keep the doors open for such to continue to visit the library and cause threats to continue to be even more a hazard to the zones in this library for children and adults. I complained to staff about the situation here and they disrespect my help and concern fir the child that was injured also besides myself by the black man using marijuana in the men's bathroom. Staff called the fire dept. ti get rid of the smoke in the room that day months ago but remembering what could be against the public people and the children that are to be protected as I am knowing as en elected official out of office still protection should nof be a major problem at any library especially where security is definitely on duty in the library here as downtown and yet the safe areas have become a place of domestic violence approved of by the actions of staff at these public libraries. I am against such actions made by staff and they pose themselves to be known now as real terrors in public places where our children are to be safer in a more quiet zoned area so we were to believe it was true. City employees do commit crimes against the public and city officials are aware of the problem that must stop...

Most of the branches in that area suffer either from staff being extremely rude, the patrons being outlandish and disrespectful, nepotism as to who gets reprimanded or is able to use certain facilities, or just a combination of the aforementioned. Certain ladies there are very nice. While others are just "not to be bothered" for any reason. Don't get me wrong. They may help some patrons, but not others. they just automatically get abrasive regardless of the parton's demeanor....which is usually "nice" and "approachable". I understand people have bad days. But I also understand that people also target individuals for no reason just because they are bitter. My advice to anyone going to these branches is to do your work and stay quiet, while not interacting with anyone, especially the librarians. Then you will have no problems....IF they open when they are supposed to. Trust me. they will let you know when its...
Read moreThis Branch is a God send, I have become a regular the staff are so helpful and courteous. They take time to explain and assist you when needed without an attitude. I had the pleasure of meeting the new Branch Head Librarian, Tina, and we shared some things that they are willing to do help bring new energy to our seniors at Pioneer Village Apts. I’m looking forward to that. I also want to help bring this Branch to the attention of our local political leaders. I understand that this branch is getting a partial makeover. It deserves to have a...
