Had a great visit with zero complaints. It’ll sound weird but the fries here MAKE this place. Oh my god, If you go here get the fries. They were some of the best fries I’ve had in years. I personally was not a fan of their take on garlic aioli but my SO loved it. The beer I had was great as well - got the BFG as per our waiters recommendation and loved it. For those two items alone it warrants me coming back. In other news, the pretzel was also excellent. I’d really love them to add some new sauces, or maybe a beer cheese, but the honey mustard was good too. The burger was also pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was mind blowing but I really enjoyed it. Good ratio of topping to meat and the bread they used was really good. The Reuben sandwich was also decent, but I would not get it again. Prices were fair and portions were good.

Late review from late January (2023). I remember this spot opening maybe around the time COVID-19 started and city shutdowns were rolling. This is my first time coming here. Located in the same building but different level than the AMC Theaters. Pictured here is their mural at the main entrance before you take the escalators/elevator up to the second level where their entrance is, a photo from the bar, and what I believe was a 10oz(?) of their Yachtzilla Seltzer (brewed in-house). Have had many seltzers from breweries across the Chicagoland area and this was a tad bit different in flavor. Not pictured here but also got the "Flight of All 6 Beers," which is a good bang for your buck. Did not purchase any of their food but looked great as other people ordered. Would stop by again if in this specific area.

Good place! It is located inside the AMC place in the second floor to the left, so you have to enter the AMC building and take the electric stairs. It feels like you are entering to a secret bar. The place has a modern vibe and really works for most types of visits, from casual dinner to a date or even a work dinner. We ordered the house burger and the spicy chicken sandwich. We didn’t like that non of this came with fries so you have to order like a big portion of fries on the side. The burger was good! We give it s 8/10 and the spicy chicken instead of pickles had a pickled tomato which was delicious, I give it a 7.5/10. For beers, we had the Hazy Pale Ale and the Hazy IPA, both refreshing. A little bit on the expensive side but thats what you can find in this area of Chicago.

Visited Crushed By Giants Brewing Company during the bustling St. Patrick's Day weekend in Chicago, and it was a refreshing oasis of calm. After hours of being on our feet, finding this quiet, relaxed spot was exactly what we needed. The beers here are exceptional - a wide range of flavors, each more delightful than the last, truly showcasing their brewing expertise.

What added to our pleasant experience was the service. Our waiter was the epitome of laid-back and friendly, striking up easy conversations and adding to the relaxed vibe of the place. He was knowledgeable about the beer selections and had great recommendations, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The atmosphere of Crushed By Giants is its biggest selling point. In a city that can often feel overwhelming, especially during a festive weekend, this brewery provided a much-needed respite. It's a place where the hustle of the city fades into the background, allowing you to really unwind and savor your time.

While the place ticks most boxes for a great brewery experience, the reason for the four-star rating is perhaps the desire for a slightly wider food menu to complement their excellent beers. Nonetheless, for anyone looking for quality craft beers and a place to decompress in the heart of Chicago, Crushed By Giants is definitely worth a visit. A big thumbs up for their beers, ambiance,...

Good food! Skip it if you like beer though...

I really wanted to like this place! Great name, great decor, great location and great staff! The staff did seem to exude confidence about the beers on tap, describing them with "notes of pineapple" & etc. However, to my palate, they all had the buttery banana off-taste from their yeast. I asked if they used the same strain of yeast for all their light beers and the server quickly said that he didn't really know anything about beers, just what they told him to say.

I had a flight and a double IPA. As I said, most of the light beers had the banana/butter notes which can be good sometimes but I think it's off-putting when drinking a Maibock or a juicy/hazy IPA. None of the beers were horrible but none were good. Maybe it was an off day but when I spoke to people at other beer locations around town (who will remain nameless) they had the same opinion as I.

I also got the burger. It was hella good! I loved the pickled red onions on it! Yum! If I went again I'd probably give their beer another try but I'd skip it if you want a beer...

Out of all the places that we could've stopped at we choose this one. Spent a half an hour (and $9) to find a parking spot. That fact does not play into this review. What does play into this review is that the service (specifically the server) was some of the worse we've EVER experienced. This dude apparently hated his job today. Initially ordered our drinks and apps and told the guy we'd decide on pizza by the time he brought drinks. Drinks we're dropped off by someone else and soon after we got the appetizer. No visit from our server. He went by nearly half a dozen times without a word on how everything was. AFTER we finished our appetizer and practically our beers too we finally flagged him down to order our pizza. The dude audibly sighed and yanked out his ordering device. At this point we still weren't asked if we wanted another round. We finished the pizza and everyone finished all of their beverages and still no mention of getting another. TERRIBLE service. For what it's worth, the food...
