South Loop Market - 9th Street — Local services in Chicago

After visiting this place for so many months for their breakfast sandwiches and having a great experience today I saw the other side of the coin that I never expected to see. They got faily new person working the desk and she was having lots of difficulty taking the order over the phone. When to pick it up, once I arrived back and open my sandwich it had sausage not bacon as I ordered and repeated multiple times to the girl on the phone. Called to tell them the error and the same girl answers and starts fighting me back on the phone telling me that she got it right and it was my fault. I asked to speak to the manager who told me I had the options of coming back to change to the correct sandwich, sorry this is not an option when you have a few minutes to make it back to work and eat quick. I asked him for a refund or credit and he said that only way to do it is to give him the sandwich back. I told him that he could keep the money because I wasn't able to go back but I will just never come back (considering he knows how often me and my co-workers go there ) he said "ok" in a tone of I do not care. So I guess this 10 girls need to find a new spot for breakfast!

It has been awhile since I have been there like around before the pandemic started. Had a client that lived across the street from them would take my client there she believed in helping small business and keeping them going. Since she left the area I have not been to The South Loop Market they took care of my client Mrs. HELEN KENNEDY A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN SHE TREATED ME LIKE FAMILY. THE PEOPLE AT SOUTH LOOP KNEW WHAT SHE WANTED WHEN SHE CAME IN TO THERE STORE. AND ALSO KEPT AN EYE ON HER When one of the caregivers was verbally abusing her they would let me know what had happened THIS IS WHY I GIVE THEM 5 STARS AND THERE EMPLOYEES TOO

This is a nice little market, with very polite staff. They have a small deli with very fresh meat and cheese. They actually hand make the sandwiches and salads that at other stores would just be prepackaged food from a warehouse. The best part about this place for me is there front aisle of chocolate, candy, and nuts that they put together themselves in nice sealed containers. The gummy bears are the best gummy bears I have ever tasted in my life, they are full of flavor and have the perfect type of firmness to them. If you shop at the South Loop Market you will not leave...
