I'm writing this review after taking a full year of classes at Vibez. Initially, I bought class packs and then signed up for the monthly membership (8 classes a month) once I knew it was a good fit. Over the course of 2023, I lost more than 20 pounds. Where diet also played a role, the main change I made was going to Vibez at least 2 times a week.
As someone in her 30s, I was looking for a gym with full body workout classes that was located close to me. At Vibez, even classes that focus on arms or legs end up making you feel like you had a full workout! You can go at your own pace in class. No instructor makes you grab the heaviest weights or overdo it, yet somehow you always feel challenged to do better. The gym is located in the heart of River North so lunchtime classes are my fav, as are the classes right after work, and you still have the rest of the evening for yourself!
The gym has a shoes-off environment and the workout areas are so clean that even with full classes, I have never gotten sick or felt like the equipment wasn't clean, which isn't always the case with downtown gyms.
The last unique point I'll mention is the staff. The trainers are all amazing! One year in, classes are still a challenge and routines are continously updated, so it keeps me on my toes! I have taken the most classes with Carrie, Heather, and, Rob, and I recommend them to anyone! I recently took an RX class with Gloria and will be back for that in 2024! Also, the front desk staff is amazing! Once the pandemic was over and my work travel was chaotic, if I ever had leftover classes or a few classes that were expiring, they let me move them over or made sure I took them. That is different than ANY other gym downtown. I felt like they actually cared about my experience and that I used all the classes I paid for.
All in all, I recommend taking a class and seeing if the plate is for you. It's a great addition for people who like to cross-train. My overall fitness has increased and I became a better biker and hiker. Adding in classes on a plate can loosen up tight muscles and help overall strength. Talk to the front desk for more info on the plate, they can...

My husband and I started Vibez before our wedding just off of class pass and liked it so much we just chose to become members there and quit class pass. Gloria and the all of the staff/trainers are amazing! They remember us each time we come in by name and are invested in our fitness journey.
The instructors are top knotch and all so different. You are not just signing up for one type of work out-you can get strength training, yoga, balance, barre, boxing, and more with one membership. Some of our fav classes (but not limited to!!) - Gloria’s flow fly recover with silk hammocks, Robs fun upbeat strength classes, and if you really want to hurt …Carrie’s strength and hybrid classes are super intense.
The availability is great/ you can always schedule last minute or change which makes it ideal for super busy schedules. But what we personally love is that the classes are short-30-45 minutes- but you are SORE after every single one. The plate gives you so much more workout for the time, but you don’t always feel it as you are doing it and we felt like you recover so much quicker after doing the plate exercises vs the same workout without the plate.
Can’t say enough good things...
Read moreEverything makes you feel great at this unique fitness studio, where I spent almost every other day during the last month, for one or two classes in a row. The staff and owners’ attention, the ease of booking a class & signing in – very easy to book the class on the Mindbody App, then you or the staff will check you in on the Ipad @ the studio – this eliminates the need to carry a cell phone – which for me is important as I run to and from the studio (to enhance my workout, shorten the ‘commute’, and stay warm winter time😊). Then each and every class is different, very entertaining and strong enough to feel you did a good workout in the short 30 minutes – which are enough considering that the vibration does the rest of the work for your muscles (like a 90 min workout), which is very efficient! The last minutes are always used to relax the body. I read and learned a lot about the benefits of a vibrating power plate, outside of what I read on their website. The music gets me on the beat and lifts me up, and the trainers cannot say enough of how very well selected and right on the spot are! This place kept me so engaged. Kudos to...
