Addington Gallery — Attraction in Chicago

Addington Gallery is one of the best galleries in River North and my personal favorite. We are fortunate to have so many great galleries in the city. Dan Addington’s gallery isn't the largest but I think it has the best selection if you're buying. I stop in every time I'm in the neighborhood to talk to Dan and see what’s new since my last visit. I like his welcoming style and that I can look as long as I like without feeling like I have to buy something. Dan knows his artists well and I appreciate the insights he provides about the paintings, something that I haven't always experienced at other galleries. We had a great time at Addington Gallery. The artwork was fantastic and the atmosphere was welcoming. The Gallery staff is first rate, very knowledgable and approachable. The well lit space exhibited paintings and sculptures that were very well handled. Anthony Adcock's ability to trick the eye was enticing. Painting seems to be alive and well and very at home in this space. This gallery is a must visit if you are anywhere near River North. Not only am I a patron of the Addington Gallery I was also an exhibiting artist for 2 group shows. Dan Addington, the very helpful, knowledgeable, and personable owner/curator, has a keen eye for beautiful and unique pieces. The artists he selects produce exquisite, stunning, and diverse artwork. Every time I walk into the gallery I am delighted by the treasures on the walls.
