Wow such a major disappointment. I came here optimistic based on reviews about this legendary Lauren. And she was someone to leave a mark, but in the worst way. Lauren had no genuine warmth of personality to her. I’m not sure why she chose to give the least amount of effort in only showing us literally what was in front of us and ONE option online but she was terrible. Then when I addressed this in email she tried to deflect and say she wished I had told her in person. Numerous times I said I had an idea of what I wanted but was reliant on her expertise. I understand many options may not be in store but why did she only show us ONE option online. She mentioned custom then failed to even detail what that process would look like. Before writing reviews I like to go else where to ensure I’m not overreacting and WOW. The way I was treated at another jeweler is stark in contrast. I was guided, educated, and provided valuable information to find my DREAM ring. Lauren reeked of not wanting to be helpful and wanting to get on with her day. Not sure why she’s so celebrated unless she’s only helpful with people who look like her, if you catch my drift. Either way, gage diamonds missed out in sales for a wedding ring and band because Lauren has a great way of delivering the nice nasty persona and she is a stain in my memory of trying to have a memorable day. Then no accountability, when I’m confident the way she interacted with us is not the same experience these reviews are raving about. If someone’s great, that should be replicated with each client should it not? So what was different? I repeatedly stated I was navigating ambiguity. I did the same thing elsewhere and was again guided and shown a wide variety of styles. I’m person AND online. I’ll let you all be the judge for yourselves. My take? I sensed a vibe of “1950’s we don’t want YOUR business” energy. I can't tell everyone enough the best service I've ever received from a business. I had been searching for quite some time for the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend. Went to all the regular places like Jerod, Kay and online ones like Blue Nile. Nothing really caught my eye. 2 weeks before our trip to Playa Del Carmen, I had decided that I wouldn't be able to find the right ring, so the planned proposal wasn't going to happen. Then I came across Gage Diamond and visited their website. I was kind of skeptical about doing all this online, but per the other reviews I gave it a shot. The actual designing and customization of the ring was very very simple and easy. I picked out the setting, picked out the diamonds and placed my order. the very next day, I received a call from Fan, one of the directors and she informed me that unfortunately the diamond that I had ordered was sold, but there was a similar diamond of even better quality and much bigger that they had that was better, free upgrade. No arguing there from me. She gave me the timeline of when the ring would be ready. It was going to arrive after our trip, so I asked if there was any way possible to do a rush on the order, explaining what I wanted to do on our trip. Fan called me the next day and said that yes, she spoke with their jeweler and they would be able to expedite it and that they would have to overnight it to me so I would be able to get it on time. The diamond upgrade was free, the rush order was free, the only extra was the overnight delivery fee, which was understandable. I even accidentally added two overnight shipment charges and they refunded me one right away. During the whole process between Fan and Chasity, they kept me informed of the progress and when it was going to be shipped. The ring arrived on time, it was beautiful and I was able to propose on our trip. It made for the perfect setting, candlelit beachside proposal, and she said yes.
