I know I'm getting old since I was excited about the bowl, dishwashing gloves and produce strainer and a 15 pound bag of rice for $1 if you spend over $200.
I knew that I was low on korean ingredients so I braved the rainy grand opening day. I was in line around 9:40, got in around 10:30. No food court. Lots of mini corporate meetings with brand representatives in the aisles talking amongst themselves, lots of brands that had grand opening specials. There were workers with mops drying the floors since it was super rainy and people were waiting in line outside.
I got two boxes of instant rice for $9.99 each, sweet corn ice cream, quick cooking boxes of teokbboki that the sample lady was giving out. Many of the sample ladies got me, a banana cream cake sample table got me. The bibigo fried dumpling lady also snagged me.
The produce area was packed with carts and organized neatly. Lots of korean cut meats and seafood.
They had a section of various refrigerated kimchi and banchans next to the produce area. I got rolls of spam kimbap and a variety pack of stir fried anchovies, braised lotus root, spicy dried squid, and spicy dried shrimp banchan platter.
Ramyun and ramen aisle are very neatly arranged. I found the new Jin ramyun design alongside the old design. There was a soy sauce/vinegar/ gochujang/doenjang/curry/pajeon mix aisle; stocked up on dashida stock, pajeon (korean savory pancakes) fry mix, and red pepper powder. Snack aisle was good, they have the turtle chips with a flaming lime flavor alongside the basic seaweed, truffles, and sweet corn varieties.
Alot of variety of teokbboki and various mandu dumplings brands. They have salted duck eggs, plain duck eggs, and expensive eggs.
They also have an area of cooking pans, utensils, and housewares.
There was one line against the dumpling freezer section, there were staff organizing the check out lines. They have an app and rewards system. I got a free mug for signing up. I checked out and they told me the $1 rice was near the exit. I had to exit and go to the other building next door for the free bag, produce strainer, fruit bowl, and dish gloves.
Lots of staff, very loud inside with all the people shopping with kpop...
Read moreI picked up the most amazing, freshest fruits from here, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality. Every piece of fruit was perfectly ripe, bursting with flavor, and clearly sourced with care. It’s not often that you find produce this fresh, and it made a huge difference in both taste and texture.
Beyond the incredible selection of fruits, the store itself offers a wide variety of foods, making it a great one-stop shop for everything I needed. Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, pantry staples, or specialty items, they seem to have it all. The employees were also extremely helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or answer any questions. Their friendly and knowledgeable service made my shopping experience even better.
What stood out to me the most, though, was how impeccably clean, neat, and well-organized the store was. You can tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining a spotless environment, which makes shopping here even more enjoyable. From the well-stocked shelves to the tidy aisles, every detail was carefully managed. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI gave it 2 weeks post-opening (because that line was no joke!), and here’s my honest review:
🚗 First Impressions: Be ready for a bit of a traffic jam at the entrance! The store layout directs everyone into a single path, so if one person stops, we all stop. Hoping they’ll fix that soon.
🥩 What’s Inside? Tight aisles, but totally worth it! The massive seafood section, endless ready-to-eat meal boxes, and the biggest selection of frozen sliced meats I’ve ever seen, perfect for hot pot and KBBQ at home! Plus, tons of marinated meats ready for grilling.
🍱 Sushi & Side Dishes: Two cases filled with fresh sushi, sashimi, and a crazy variety of ready-made banchan (Korean side dishes).
🏡 Beyond Groceries: From home goods to trendy kitchen finds, and yes—the viral ICE CUP (Big Ball)!
🌟 Final Verdict: No more driving to Diamond Bar HMart for my KBBQ meats! This Chino location beats the new 99 Ranch Market across the street, but I’ll miss the Diamond Bar food court.
📍 Location: Between Sam’s Club and Big 5 in Chino at Chino Spectrum...
