My Best Buy experience fluctuated from ok to not so good to very pleased.
After asking numerous questions about a laptop I was looking for, I purchased what I was lead to believe was the correct item but it had to be paid for online immediately before it could be pulled for pickup. I had 30 minutes before the store closed in order to get there and pick it up. When I arrived, a clerk informed me "yeah, thats probably not gonna happen today." After finding an associate in the laptop section who was very helpful, we discovered that the laptop I had been sold was NOT the one I was looking for and the one I needed was actually $400 more. After speaking with the store manager regarding the runaround I had gotten during the afternoon (more than just explained here) he agreed that the matter was handled poorly and quickly remedied the situation by making an adjustment to my purchase for all the problems. I can't say every shopping experience may end this way but mine did yesterday and I was very happy with the manager and my sales associate's willingness to listen and help vs the usual..."oh sorry to hear that but there's nothing I can do" many of us have come to expect over the years.

Read moreFor a wide variety of sporting equipment and apparel, check out DICK’S at the mall. From camping, canoeing, fishing, and hunting to football, soccer, basketball, and baseball/softball, you won’t be disappointed. Bikes, weightlifting, and other accessories are here too. Something you might not expect to see but might appreciate, is the baseball/softball glove steamer. Gone are the days of trying to manually break in a glove by folding it around a seated ball in the pocket of the glove and matching the finger ends up. This machine softens the leather and expedites the entire process. They even have lawn games like corn hole and glow in the dark Spike Ball. The only reason for a loss of one star is because they used to carry Gatorade gum and there was none to be found. Although they had ample supply of Big League Chew (Shredded Bubblegum)!
Worth a trip, for the...
Read moreThis mall used to be full of people and businesses. Its becoming a ghost town now. The movie theater built it's own building the old theaters are part of NRCC. All the food court businesses have left. You can buy a pretzel and drink at a kiosk. Buy a very expensive green hot dog at Sam's hot dogs stand. There is no good hat stores inside the mall. Bath and body works is still there. There are several cell phone companies inside mall. Its really sad this mall used to busy every day all day. Now I have to take my family to Roanoke to shop. Sad that christansburg residents are losing out on employment opportunities. Christansburg is losing out on all these taxes that can...
