When my friends and I arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 p.m., we were excited for a relaxing night out with good food and conversation. The place looked nice from the outside, with soft lighting and a cozy atmosphere that gave us high hopes for the evening. Unfortunately, what started as a fun night quickly turned into a frustrating experience that none of us expected.
From the moment we sat down, we noticed that the service was unusually slow. It took almost twenty minutes before anyone even came by to take our order, and when they finally did, the waiter seemed rushed and distracted. We tried to stay patient, thinking maybe the kitchen was just busy or they were short-staffed. But as the minutes turned into hours, our patience began to run out.
By the time our food finally arrived, we had been waiting for an hour and a half. That’s right—ninety whole minutes of sitting at our table, hungry and annoyed, while other customers who came after us seemed to be getting served before us. It wasn’t even like we ordered anything complicated—just regular meals that shouldn’t have taken that long to prepare. The worst part was that no one came by to check on us or apologize for the delay.
When our food did arrive, things somehow got worse. The server set down the plates and walked away so quickly that we didn’t even get a chance to ask for anything else. It wasn’t until we looked down at our table that we realized they hadn’t brought us any forks, knives, or napkins. We literally had our food sitting in front of us with no way to eat it. It took another ten minutes to get someone’s attention so we could ask for utensils.
At that point, most of us had lost our appetite. The food itself wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t worth the long wait or the stress. It was lukewarm by the time we finally got to eat it, and honestly, the flavor didn’t stand out. If the restaurant had great service, we might’ve been more forgiving—but the overall experience just made it hard to enjoy anything.
We tried to be polite when paying, but no one even acknowledged how long we had waited. There was no apology, no discount, nothing to make up for the awful service. It felt like they didn’t care at all about their customers. That lack of professionalism really ruined what could have been a nice evening.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The wait was far too long, the staff was unorganized, and the service was careless. When you go out to eat, you expect at least basic attention—like getting your food in a reasonable amount of time and having something to eat it with. Sadly, this restaurant failed at both. Unless they make major changes to their service, I don’t plan on coming back anytime soon.they also did not have half the...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
On a Monday evening, while strolling along the boardwalk, my friends and I were looking for a great place for dinner. I had done my homework the night before, checking Google reviews on different spots. My friends specifically wanted steak, and I was initially skeptical about Harbour Prime based on some of the reviews. However, we decided to give it a try anyway—and I’m so glad we did!
From the outside, the restaurant is visually appealing, drawing you in with its inviting ambiance. To our surprise, even on a Monday evening, the place was packed! Despite the crowd, our experience was exceptional from start to finish. From our first interaction with the friendly young hostess to our amazing server (shoutout to Brianne!) and the attentive runners, the service was outstanding. And we can’t forget the guy with the huge lobster—definitely a fun touch!
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! Everything was well-prepared, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My friends, who were in search of a great-tasting steak, were beyond satisfied. One of them, who recently moved to the islands from stateside, had been longing for a truly great steak, and Harbour Prime delivered. He couldn’t stop raving about how tender, juicy, and flavorful it was—exactly what he had been missing!
The atmosphere was lively, and while it was busy, the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff made the experience even better. If you’re on the fence about trying Harbour Prime, don’t hesitate. Whether you’re craving steak, seafood, or just a great dining experience, this place...
Read moreWe really wanted this place to succeed—it has a fantastic location on the boardwalk with beautiful waterfront views. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t match the setting.
Service was disorganized from the start. Despite having a party of five, we kept receiving settings for three and had to repeatedly ask for the correct number of plates and glasses. Our server was new and struggling, but no one was assisting her. She was unfamiliar with the menu, had difficulty with the ordering system, and didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine—we had to help. At one point, another server mistakenly brought a second bottle we never ordered.
Food was another letdown. The shrimp cocktail arrived immediately but didn’t taste quite right. Our cocktails took 20 minutes. The prime rib and filet were both misprepared—one well-done instead of medium, the other nearly rare instead of medium—but given how long everything took, we didn’t bother sending them back. For the price, we expected better.
There were some bright spots: The manager’s friend, who stepped in to help, was fantastic and went above and beyond to find us a good bottle of wine after we were mistakenly told there was no red available. But the overall experience felt chaotic, capped off by our server pressuring us to leave a positive review mid-meal and accidentally handing us another table’s bill—cash tip included.
Ultimately, the issues here seem to stem from poor management. The staff needs proper training, better teamwork, and more guidance. There’s potential, but right now, it’s not...
