Last Outpost Store — Local services in City of Beacon

Im from Nashville and was visiting my son who lives in the Beacon area. He wanted us to visit the Beacon shops and I must say we really enjoyed the area. We stumbled across this really awesome store called The Last Outpost. Chris has to be the coolest store operator in Beacon!!!! I love the unique items he carries. But I had an experience here that truly makes him tops in my book. I had been trying on some gloves. Well my hands are very big and I did not expect to find a pair that fit me but I really liked them anyway and I tried on several pairs. I really liked them but as usual none of them fit. I had a chance to talk to Chris a while. His personality really goes along with the decor of his store and the merchandise he sells. So I congratulate him on a well designed store and we left. Later that night I realized I had lost my wedding ring. Which is a size 15 and it’s hard to loose a ring that big. We had everyone looking for it. But honestly I’ve lost about 70 lbs over the last couple years and the ring had become pretty loose. I went to sleep that night never expecting to see it again. The next day we to drive back to Beacon. We stopped in the diner we had lunch in, an antique shop and a couple of other places we stopped by the day I lost the ring. I was about to give up. After all, I had made a good effort looking for it and if it was gone then i knew I tried. Then it hit me- I had been trying on gloves in that really cool store- The Last Outpost!!! So I walk back into The Last Outpost and Chris is at the counter. I’m expecting him to not recognize me. So I’m like, “hey man I was in here yesterday and I was trying on some gloves and I may have lost my ring in a pair.” Chris was just standing there grinning ear-to-ear! He says, “I’m glad you can back in I have it right over here!” He told me another customer tried on the same awesome gloves and asked if they had brass knuckles sewn in but realized it was someone’s wedding band. Man, I was so excited I had to double high five Chris!. He tells me he looked at his cameras trying to figure out who was trying on gloves. Saw me on the camera but had no way of contacting me. So he posted on his stores Instagram account about the lost wedding band. I mean, what a great business owner!!! Even though the Instagram ad is not why I came back in, he really went out of his way to find the owner of the ring! I should also thank the customer who turned it in! Thank you “unnammed customer” and thank you Chris for being such a great business owner. I hope this comes back to you a hundred fold! Bought a Beacon sweatshirt last year May for my husband. He wears it regularly as it is one of his favorites and it has really held up. The quality of the fabric and printing have survived numerous washes and it is still so soft. This shop is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is incredibly helpful (especially the cute doggie!). I love my flannel shirts, their super soft custom graphic t-shirts, enamel cups, cool bird houses and amazing selection of glassware and sunglasses! This is my go to shop for gifts all year round.
