Went in here with girlfriend on trip to Saratoga. Tried on two cheaply-made, overpriced cubic zirconia bracelets and put them back carefully in front of the owner as he openly stared us down, even commenting that I had no place I wanted to wear them to. We then walked around the store and headed out to stand outside, but not before the owner asked "are you sure you don't want that bracelet?" The owner then followed us outside insitently asking us something about if a bracelet "had fallen" on the floor while we were looking at them. I responded "no" and was baffled by the behavior. He then doubled-down asking "are you sure? I have a bracelet missing." If he wanted to accuse us of stealing he could've done it in the store at any point and didn't have to make up a story about a "missing bracelet". Fairly certain this was the owner based on other reviews I have read about his behavior. Super unprofessional. Had a sign outside that said "don't be a karen, shop small" So ironic considering he gives snall business a bad name and was the biggest Karen we encoutered in the entire trip. Ruined our time downtown, and not worth it for a $40 bracelet that was going to clash with my $250...
Read moreStopped in for an impromptu wedding ceremony and found a great low cost dress. Asked the price and they told me $400. We had a lot of conversation and the people seemed very personable. They asked lots of questions and did a good job building report. Well...came back the next day to purchase. As I approached I was pleased to hear they were waiting for me to come back. They had the dress waiting and I was able to check out right away. The price now $535. I asked what changed and the owner exclaimed...”I said around $400 but either way you told me you were in finance so you’re rich right?” ...are you kidding. Awestruck I handed them my card. I right away said, “oh no, sorry this is the card I wanted to use.” And I was met with, “I guess we are lucky we didn’t get the swipe yet and I responded with it would have been fine but it wasn’t the card I wanted.” We all like our point, right? To add insult to injury the owner hands me a card and asked me to tag him in my photos... are we serious? Are we in Saratoga? I guess I understand the 3.5 starts. Regardless, the budget dress is pretty enough to ruin at a field wedding...
Read moreWent in with a friend to look at dresses for my senior prom. We browsed around for less than 2 minutes before the woman working there stopped us. She asked me to take my drink and place it away from the dresses (completely understandable) but then began to rudely question what I was looking for. She shamed me for not having a specific picture reference of what I wanted while using profanities. Then, she said, “don’t sit here and play dress up” and then told me to return with my mother. This was so unprofessional considering I am paying for my own dress and I do not have a good relationship with my parents or any adult who would be involved in this process. This was the first store I walked into and it ruined my whole shopping experience. I have never felt so unwelcome in a store simply because of my age. I truly hope no one else has to experience this when looking for a prom dress, a very sentimental process that should be memorable for...
