BoxLunch — Local services in City of Syracuse

This store is a really cool place and I enjoyed the content available to browse through. The reason this doesn’t get five stars is because the Syracuse location in Destiny Mall really spooked me with the constant hovering from employees. I understand telling everyone the deals the store has when we first walk in, but then every turn I made there was another employee telling me the same thing or asking if I see anything I like. It was getting out of control like they were desperate to sell to us. There were at least five employees swarming around the store basically harassing the customers about their deals. What did it for me was when I was having a conversation with my boyfriend and one employee shamelessly interrupted the conversation just to tell me the merchandise on the wall was also part of the sale...which I already knew due to three other employees telling me the same thing. I ordered a LOTR bag off of the website, and had it shipped to the mall's store. It was an utter nightmare dealing with the online support. They kept telling me my items were delivered to the store, but the store had not received them. I spoke with 2 nice ladies, one's name was Kelsey and she ended up reaching out to their customer service line for online orders because I was being lead on a wild goose chase with the websites support. The staff was unwelcoming at this store. I realize the items are priced for charity, but they're still a little too steep with that consideration. This store was poorly laid out and cramped at the checkout, where the three staff members standing around had trouble running two registers. The customer behind me was cranky as she was forced to barge her plus sized physique through to the checkout on my other side... A situation which could have been avoided with better organization.
