Williams Sonoma has traditionally been the place for high end cookware and accessories. Sales representatives were like the products, a notch above what you might find in a department store. They were professional, knowledgeable about the various products and helpful. On a recent visit to the store at the Westchester (it was a Sunday afternoon and they admitted to being short staffed), I was treated rudely. The manager was trying to care for two complex returns and unavailable. The young woman who assisted me was brash and bossy with the others at the service desk. I had questions about a Jura coffee maker, but the person staffing the front desk was not informed. I was asked to step aside with my return and purchase while others made theirs. Three different sales persons started to help me, but the service desk was so disorganized, they turned away to do something different. The loud salesperson was finally the one to help me (after a 20-30 minute wait). And when all was said and done, she was knowledgeable. Others in line were puzzled, were commenting about the disorganization and rudeness, etc. (so it wasn't just me). When I asked for a gift box for my purchase, the clerk gave me (a bit roughly) a box with a ripped cover filled with old tissue paper.    Read moreOh man I feel like a kid in a candy shop when I walk into this store. The sheer amount of different kitchen gadgets and accessories is staggering and itâs all laid out for you to pickup, hold and examine. Often times Iâll walk in just to âlook aroundâ but Iâll leave with something I didnât even know I wanted. They have all the brand name items youâd expect when it comes to kitchenware, espresso machines, pots/pans, and edible treats...but what i love most are the Williams-Sonoma branded stuff! Itâs often priced really well and the quality is on par with, if not better than, competing name brand stuff. (Hello marshmallow sâmore bites and peanut brittle!)
Itâs also the perfect spot to buy gifts for the cook/baker/drinker in your life! Thereâs literally something for everyone and itâs usually already decorated for whatever holiday you need!
Pro-tip: throughout the day they even do samples of the products. Last time I was in there I had a bite of...
Read moreWe had the BEST experience with Lawrence yesterday! From the moment we walked in, he was welcoming, attentive, and so knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to help us find the perfect pots and knives, taking the time to explain all the differences, benefits, and features in a way that was easy to understand.
What stood out the most was how patient he wasânever rushing us, answering every question thoroughly, and making sure we felt confident in our choices. Itâs rare to find someone who combines expertise with such genuine care and professionalism, but Lawrence did exactly that. Thanks to him, we left not only with products weâre excited to use, but also with the peace of mind that we made the right decisions.
If youâre shopping here, definitely ask for Lawrenceâhe truly goes above and beyond and makes the...
