Curtos Appliances is a fantastic, family-owned business that prioritizes the customer and genuinely cares about your needs. After an old appliance had stopped working, I shopped around at a few large retailers. Most of the staff at these large retailers couldn't answer basic questions about the appliance I needed, and they only had basic models in stock, which meant waiting a week or more before an item could be delivered. I decided to give Curtos, a local business, a try. Immediately, I could tell the difference. The salesman, who was also the owner, knew exactly which appliance I had and was able to provide me with a lot of detailed information about every model he had for sale. He provided me with more information than I realized I needed and helped me understand which new one would be comparable or better. He was also very open and honest about how the numerous brands stack up against each other, and provided me with his recommendations. He was able to spend a lot of time talking with me and getting to understand my needs, wants, and budget. While the showroom floor didn't have a tremendous number of models, their warehouse and distributor could get any model within a day or two! I wound up purchasing a better model than what I had, and delivery and setup were the next day! Their customer service is better than anything you'll find at a big-box retailer. What was even better was the installation. The appliance installer, who worked for Curtos for over a decade, was kind, friendly, talkative, attentive, and very helpful. He was neat, clean, and organized, and he genuinely cared about my home when he brought in the new appliance. He helped me move furniture out of the way, covered my floors, and ensured there was no mess. He went out of his way to show me the operation of the new machine and waited to ensure it worked and I was satisfied. You don't see this kind of attentiveness from other larger retailers. I am so pleased with the service and price I received that I am already planning on replacing another old appliance. I will be returning to Curtos for all my appliance needs. I do highly recommend...
Read moreI placed my order with Patrick on November 19, 2020. Even though I did not receive an invoice, I paid the full amount do when I ordered the dishwasher.
Patrick told me that I would would need a COI in order to install the dishwasher, Patrick said he would contact my Management Agent for the full insurance requirements for the installation.
I did not hear from Patrick for a few hours (even though I left a message for him. As "time was of essence" for the installation, I contacted my insurance company and received the required COI. I immediately emailed a copy of the COI to Doreen of Curtos.
I called Doreen, she said she received my email but, my Management Agent emailed them that they needed a COI from Curtos Insurance company, and further more I only sent them a "generic" copy of a COI.
I asked Doreen to email me a copy of the COI AND a copy of the email she received, listing the requirements, to me.
Doreen sent me an email with attachments as follows: 1 - My COI which is not generic. 2 - A partial invoice, it did not include installation.
I called Doreen, she refused to send me a copy of the email my Management Agent sent her. She said there was a charge of $25.00 for Curtos to obtain their COI, WHICH WAS REQUIRED by my Management Agent, in the email sent to her. An email she refused to copy me with.

Read moreMy wife and I remotely purchased a gas grill as a housewarming gift for our son and daughter-in-law. I first called Mr. Dunstan last week. He was very knowledgeable, funny...and truthful. He assessed our kids' needs over the phone, and sent us quotes on numerous grills to check out. Many phone calls and emails (very quick turn-around!) ensued, but he never lost his patience or his good humor.
When my son came to the showroom on Saturday, I arranged with Mr. Dunstan that if my son wanted a more expensive grill than (the very nice Napoleon Prestige Pro 500) we wanted to get them, Mr. Dunstan would just quote him the differential in price instead of the total. Try doing that on Amazon...
I'm sure there might be some brands where his margin might be higher, but he absolutely sold us the best grill for the money. I'm old school, and I want a nearby brick-and-mortar to purchase any item that I can't fit it my car if it breaks. Mr. Dunstan is old-school as well: he knows the goods, and he will tell you the honest truth about them. I am guessing he has a high percentage of repeat customers.
