If you use promo codes and subway rewards your order will be cancelled and the owner, Sammy, will lie and say that you ordered something they don’t have!!
I placed two orders at 1950 Central Ave Yonkers NY. The reason for two orders is my son is allergic to pickles and my daughter loves pickles so I always order in two separate orders so they are in different bags.
There was a promotion FLBOGO which I applied to the orders along with $6 Subway rewards that I applied to one order. When the app stated both orders were ready I went to the store with my wife and three kids to pick up.
Upon entering two employees were serving other people subway sandwiches and an older man with glasses who Iater identified himself as the owner was standing by the cash register. When the people paid for their sandwiches and left both employees walked away even though they saw me. My wife and kids were sitting at a table and I was waiting for about 3 minutes before anyone asked to help me. Finally a teenage male employee asked if I needed help and I told him that I have two orders to pick up and gave him my name. He responded two? I said yes and the employee then went over to the older man by the cash register to talk to him. My wife asked what was going on and I said I didn’t know. I overheard the employee tell the older man that I placed two orders in which there was a promotion on both.
I overheard the older man respond to his employee stating he will accept one order but voided the other due to pricing. When I asked what was going on with the orders to pick up the older man stated he can’t accept both orders because they he doesn’t have one of the items ordered. After my wife showed the older man her phone that it showed the orders were both ready he stated he doesn’t know how that happened but one order had been canceled.
Mind you my 2 year old child who was very hungry was screaming and crying at this point. The older man repeated that the doesn’t have an item; I asked which item and to provide me with the receipt for the app order because the older man was carrying the receipt in his hand which he refused to provide me with and refused to tell me which item he didn’t have.
The older man then said both promotions are under my name and this branch does not accept this. My wife said one order was hers and the other mine but she was logged into my account. The older man said they were both under one name and he can’t accept them so he cancelled.
I told the older man that it’s fine because I will share my experiences with family and friends to never go back to this branch. The older man responded he’s never seen me before. My wife said there is a nice girl who always helps us with ice cream. I told him last month when I came with my cousin there was ice cream and a topping where the price was unknown and my cousin jokingly said to this female employee “ok so the order is free” and he (this older man) came storming out of the back room to see what was going on.
After all this back and forth with the older man I checked my credit card statement on my phone app to see only one of the orders were credited.
Then the older man started shouting at us to stop arguing and shouting and to wait outside for 10 minutes and he would just get the orders completed. (So the story was no longer that he didn’t have an item ordered he wanted to get rid of us !)
We told him we don’t want that (as one order was voided and credited). I showed the older man my phone which showed only one item credited, he told me he can’t see well and he didn’t know because both orders were voided and to call my credit card company which was another lie.
I then told this older man that he was dishonest and walked out of the store; I then opened the door of the store and asked for his name and the older man said his name was Joseph. I responded ‘so you are the manager,’ he said ‘I am the owner!’
Went to Subway ‘Restaurant Experience’ to share with corporation to find it went back to the owner who signed the email response...
Read moreThe absolute worst service that I've ever received from a Subway restaurant. No enthusiasm whatsoever, and the staff handling the food seems very inexperienced and has no etiquette to customer service. Placed an order in store for a hot footlong sandwich on 03/16/2022 and was given a cold sandwich with the entire meat and vegetables inside the bread falling apart as soon as I unwrapped sandwich. The subway branch may want to consider hiring career driven individuals who are seemingly more mature with actual responsibilities who don't just see it as a job but a fulltime career, as oppose to mere teenagers seeking to pass the time to make a buck all while providing less than acceptable customer service, especially when handling someone's food. The experience was a very bad representation of the Subway brand name overall and does not exemplify any sort of hospitality that would meet customers' expectation. I am extremely disappointed because I know this is not what I should expect from Subway being that I've bought sandwiches from various Subway restaurants in the Bronx area and the service rendered was completely opposite from that of which I...
Read moreThe associate here gets 100% for kindness! My sandwich was also perfect.
What was upsetting was that I got mailed coupons and that was the ONLY reason I went (I haven't been to a Subway in monthsssss,) but before I walk in the door there's a sign on the front door that says they don't take coupons. I asked why and the associate said, "I don't know and the owner isn't here right now to ask." Then, there's a picture on the cash register of their tea energy drinks (which are amazing,) so I ask for one and she says "oh, they must be new, we don't have those here." Well, they're not new because every time I've been to a Subway in the last 5 years, they've had them and why in the world would you put a sign up promoting the item then if you don't carry the item?
So overall, my visit was half disappointing and...
