Carvel — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

I didn’t have a good feeling when I saw some of the hard ice creams had different looking ice cream sitting on top. It looked as if they dumped some soft serve on top of the hard ice cream and it froze in big clumps. I should’ve just left upon seeing that, however against my better judgement ordered for my kids since they wanted something different than those flavors with the weird clumps. My son had the “carvelanche” which is soft serve mixed with a topping. It took the employee about 7 minutes to make it. I didn’t know why it was taking this amount of time to mix chocolate soft serve with chocolate crunchies, but we were patient. Once he got it we sat outside and after a few bites he said “what is this? And pulled a jagged piece of hard plastic out of his mouth.” I brought it back inside and the employee was not at all phased and claimed it was part of the cap. However the cap was not broken at all and the cap was a much thinner clear plastic while what he pulled out of his mouth was white and much harder/thicker. She took it from me and said she’d make him a new one. I went back outside thinking it would be another 7 minutes to make a new one, however less than a minute after I went outside she came out and handed me what I thought was a new one. I gave it to him and he said this is the same one, it has the same amount of ice cream missing. This place is gross, I’ll stick to different Carvels or other ice cream shops. Never going back...

We ordered a Hello Kitty cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday party and it was perfect. I didn’t like the cake they had in stock and the owner/manager told me to send him a picture and he promised to do the cake exactly as pictured! He wasn’t sure if he could find the mold but he said he would try his best to make the cake perfect for us. He called us 2 days before to tell us that he had found the mold for the cake and that it would be ready for pick up 2 days early if we wanted to pick it up. Excellent customer service. Super nice guy. Will definitely go back to this carvel for all my cakes. They have a variety of different cakes if you don’t want to place a custom cake. The place is clean. Terrible customer relation called to find out if they had soft serve pistacio and was told. Yes, I showed up and was told they don't have any. I told the girl I had just called and she apologized. I told her the only reason I came in was buy 1 get 1 free Sunday. She told me that they did have regular pistachio. I ordered a large and a small pistachio sunday and was charged for each one . First, she told me that I had to buy two of the same size Which made no sense because I paid for the more expensive one And then she told me the buy one Get one free does that apply to the frozen ...
