I bought my wedding dress here in February (wedding in Dec), and it was a size 8. I'm usually a 2-4. Instead of informing me that I easily had time to order a 6 and alter that down, they didn't even take my measurements. I bought the floor sample, and came in July for my first "fitting." They still didn't take any measurements, and didn't even pin the dress anywhere. Something I'll mention here too, is that they continually asked me when my wedding was throughout this entire process. I'm not sure why I constantly had to be asked the date of my wedding at a bridal shop where it should have been at the very least written down somewhere. When I came back for my second "fitting", having driven 7 hours, I put on the dress to find that they hadn't even made a single stitch. I was hoping to take the dress home that day. After explaining that I worked out of state and wasn't home often, we made a tentative date for my last fitting. A few weeks later I called to let them know that I had to cancel that fitting and needed to reschedule. The person on the phone told me that I just needed to call to let them know when I could come in next. I explained that again, I have a tight schedule, but she said its fine just let us know. When I called back to tell them I could only come in two days before my wedding, the person on the phone was extremely rude, telling me the seamstress wasn't going to be in, and acted like the situation was my fault. She didn't seem to care what a position I was put in because no one wanted to reschedule my appointment a few weeks before. After all of this frustration, I tried the dress on two days before my wedding, and it was literally hanging off of me. The person in the store that day didn't even seem to care, again. Then had the nerve to ask me to tag them in my photos on instagram as we rushed out the door to get a friend of ours to alter the dress at the very last second. I will always be resentful of this process and how I was treated at Oliverio's. It was the only thing that went wrong during my entire wedding planning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my daughter to Oliverio's this past prom season to look for her a dress. We had already been to 3 others stores but Oliverio's had the dress she wanted listed on their Web site. When we arrived at the store we were warmly greeted and asked if we needed any help. We explained what we wanted and one of the ladies working we to look for the dress that she wanted. But, after trying on the dress she was not happy with it and the lady helping us immediately asked what she liked and colors and started getting dresses for her. She settled on a black dress that we had not seen in any of the others we visited. OLIVERIO'S carries a wide assortment of dresses and styles. On returning to the store for a fitting we found the dress to be even bigger than before because my daughter had been sick and lost weight. I asked if it was possible to order the dress in her size and Angela called to find out. Never once were they rude or short tempered or acted like we were an inconvenience to them because my daughter tried on many dresses before she fell in love with the one she picked. Angela ordered the smallest size the designer had available for us. Now we are back again but this time Angela is helping my daughter prepare for her first pageant Miss WV Teen USA Pageant. She spent hours with us picking dresses, swim suits, and cocktail dresses. She is certainly what her name implies an ANGEL. She took time out of a busy day in her store to help her and instruct her in what was needed and what looked right on her. Thank you Angela and all the ladies you have working for you, they are all very polite, helpful and go that extra mile to help the Customer. I think anyone going to your shop will leave a winner with a gown or dress or whatever they are shopping for in a very satisfied and happy...
