I inherited my father’s recliner after he passed away from cancer in 2016. With 2 small children who loved their “Papa” naturally they wanted to sit in it. As usual with siblings, fighting ensues and something gets broken: in this case it was the scissor mechanism. After reaching out to my local Ashley Furniture in Florida and Customer Service I was left hanging waiting to see if the warranty was still valid for replacement parts. I had the pleasure of working with Doug Protivansky when I was in college at a sporting goods retailer and remember seeing his dedication to customer service and doing whatever it took to make the customer satisfied. Feeling dejected and at a loss, I took a shot and contacted Doug (In Tennessee !!!) right before the anniversary of my dad’s passing because this recliner is my keepsake piece. My pops must have been listening because not only did Doug find the replacement scissor mechanism in less than 2 hours, it arrived on the day he passed away! The scissor mechanism went in with 4 screws and pop’s recliner was back in business. There are very few people in this world like Doug. You can’t train or teach empathy, compassion and genuine care in the customer service industry, it comes from the heart of people like Doug. 11/3/34... I went in to Ashley Furniture today to pick out some items for my new apartment. Amber/Lydia were my sales/finance team and they were awesome! I am very picky and I want to look at all my options and Amber was very kind and patient and fun to work with! She never made me feel pressured and was willing to go above and beyond for me during the entire 2 to 3 hours that I was making my decisions. Her upbeat personality also made me feel like it was a friend helping me instead of a salesperson. Lydia also exceeded my expectations! Very pleasant and very informative. I had no questions after her explanations. She knows how to cover all the bases! Overall, please ask for this team then next time you need furniture!! They are the bomb!

Update...I needed a few more things and returned the next day. My team had already ended their shift. Shaun stepped in and helped me! I do not remember the young lady's name un finance that helped Shaun, but they were also very awesome! So far, the customer service at this Ashley location is excellent! I will be continuing my relationship with this location in the future and recommend this location and the names above for any of your furniture...
