We had the pleasure of dining at La Costa Cafe & Lounge tonight for my fiancée’s birthday, and it was an experience to remember. They were testing dinner service for the last three evenings, and tonight was our first opportunity to savor the amazing Puerto Rican cuisine that holds a special place in my heart.

From the moment we sat down, it felt like I was back home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the team at La Costa took their usual welcoming vibe to the next level with their delicious dishes and outstanding customer service. Every bite transported me back to the flavors I grew up with.

What a hidden gem! We stopped by this cozy coffee shop for the first time and were pleasantly surprised — it’s actually located inside Furniture Connection (just in case you’re wondering where it is — we were too 😆).

We ordered the El Criollo Sandwich and the Bacon and Egg Croissant, and both were absolutely delicious — creamy, savory, and packed with flavor. The waffles with fresh fruit were beautifully presented and tasted amazing, and the matcha latte was smooth and perfectly balanced.

If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to serve the matcha latte in a mug or give it a little extra presentation, just like the other lattes and coffees they offer — but honestly, I’m sure they’d be happy to do that if you ask. The staff is so sweet and polite, and the service was great.
