Went to Austin’s last night for a hair appointment with Madison (unsure of spelling so forgive me) and needed my grown out hair freshened up. I wanted it lightened up a bit and some of those greys blended in ya know, make them look like highlights cmon now 😜 and my hair was so grown out that the only real “before picture I can show you is this amazing one of me in my Michael mask because let’s be honest I wasn’t taking a lot … my hair was raggedy AF and unless I had a beanie on I was doing it some type of way trying to hide the grow okay okay… and yes some times I might ride around in the Michael mask drinking my 7brew so if y’all seen me a before next time say hello - anywho back to my Austin’s experience- listen go to the beauty college give it a chance - people gotta learn. There’s so much to putting skills and steps together is to ridiculous. You know you gotta learn the flow of grabbing things setting them down and the maneuvering. Just a simple shampoo isn’t that simple, and getting down the rinsing and scrubbing and the water temperature and while sure mannequins and each other for practice can be helpful, everything is different when you’re in the hot seat. So go to the beauty college and be mindful that the equipment will not always be the top of the line stuff. I mean did you have top of the line shtufff in school or did you have hand me downs? I don’t know but be patient, give some grace, and remember that a little bit of that goes a long way so remember how much a lot could do? These are someone’s kids, someone’s sisters, brothers, someone’s friends and they are learning. They are humans, and they need grace while they grow. Nobody started out as a mfin rockstar. Not anybody. Idgaf who they were they take little pieces of all these great wonderful magnificent people and they learn things along the way and they become something along the way. As a guest, I think it’s important to remember to give kindness and patience and know that you are going to a school full of someone’s loved ones who are learning. That being said ladies and gentlemen, go check out this spot! Meet some fun people, get some coffee from next door, take advantage of any one of their specials and just know that I’m a be back. I got better than what I asked for and I had some great conversations with some awesome people. It didn’t cost me hardly anything at all and certainly not for the experience I had and honestly it gave me some good memories with my husband and I replayed some good memories with my grandma. I walked out looking like a fxkin bombshell and isn’t that the goal? My coworkers didn’t notice in my zoom today and that was some bullsht but its whatever because the girls that did my hair killed it and the instructor did a fantastic job leading them and she was well loved by them also. 10/10 make an appt and wait for the next episode for the...
Read moreThis place is a joke!!! If I could give it 0 stars, I would. My daughter and I went last night. We knew this was a school and knew there would be some flaws, but I still expected better than the treatment we received. While there, the girls who did our nails were wonderfully sweet and gentle. However, as they are learning, these were not perfect, but I was ok with the way they looked initially. I came home and went straight to bed as it was late. When I awoke today, they were lifting, and there was a massive gap, which is just asking for bacteria/infection on several nails. I stopped by the salon in hopes they'd give me a refund so I could have them removed to avoid any negative health effects. However upon going to the salon I was met with rudeness and no pride for the work they put out.
I arrived and told the receptionist why I was there. Immediately she called an instructor and asked her to come speak with me. While waiting I heard a student close by say "I'd never come here for anything but to get my hair washed. You can't mess up hair by washing it." How awful does a school have to be for a student to make that remark in the open? The instructor was very rude and advised the release I signed removed all accountability for how bad the work was. I read that release and what it did was release them from responsibility IF I should get an infection from the work. It didn't however state that they could willingly create a breeding ground for bacteria and send me on my way without issue. My daughter's nails have all popped off in less than 24 hours after getting them done. We paid $35 a set for them to not give a damn what they provided. Wonderful job stealing money for a misrepresented service. I hope your joke of a school...
Read moreBe very careful not to voice your opinion at this school. I went in just to get my hair braided in corn rows. The young lady that was doing it was very slow and I could have dealt with that if she knew what she was doing. First of all she asked me if I wanted my hair washed, really? Once she started to braid each time she did a twist to my scalp she would stop and push the hair into the braid. I’m not talking about each time she did a whole braid it was each time she did a twist to a braid, at that rate it would have taken her 20 minutes to do one braid so I told her I am not staying because I have another appointment. I wasn’t rude to her at all nor was I rude to the front desk. When I went to the front desk to pay and told them what happened they all were very mean to me and acted like I had committed a crime so much that I left there crying. They booked me another appointment but when I showed up they told me they can no longer offer service to me without even so much of a phone call to let me know. So just remember if you go there you have to accept everything if you want to continue to get service there even if it’s not right you just have to put up with anything they dish out. The rude instructor was Shante, very nasty. The young lady doing my hair was Parker, she was very nice just quite inadequate at...
