I don't usually make reviews but I believe everybody needs to be aware on how they will be treated ! I have came here my WHOLE life, my family is BIG into bowling leagues and still to this day, I have family in leagues! I have never had a problem with this place , I'm real easy going ! We been coming a lot lately, why not ? Good people , good vibes , good food. Even the 2 man (aren't there anymore) were real cool, easy going , loved our complain! We spend good money here, from the bar, food and bowling, always end up playing WAY more games than we attended to 😂 . But not after today!! Me and my friends and family decided to step out for the night and celebrate my birthday. There were a lot of us so the lady asked if we would write our names down on paper in 5s so she knows who needs to be paying with who and how any people, okay we did that! Set everybody up, first game went straight, second game , our lane got shut off! On the 6th frame! We ask what happened and she said it's cause we had 6 on one lane and 4 on another our 6 person took up all our turns?? What??!!! All together we paid for 380 bowls! Everybody paid for 2 games! We only bowled 350 ish times , we still had 20ish still to go? I asked if they could just take the extra off the one lanes and turn back on the other lane and she said "yes if you pay again??" What??? We didn't even finish what we were paying for?? Last 2 weekends have been a joke since Linda ? Rob? And who ever was in the green shirt tonight (he would not tell me his name every time I asked! DO NOT work in a place where public people can go to, if you can't tell your customers your name!) have been working , they are rude and very nasty! I even brought kids along and they had no respect! Just know I will be taking my business somewhere else and if you 3 seemed that MISERABLE with having too deal with the public then you need to find a better job! People do not wanna deal with somebody huffing and buffin, we all come to chill and have a good time! Miss the 2 man that ran it on Saturday nights! They were chill asf! You need them back! 1 star. The shift lead was unprofessional. We had a party of about 15 people. Everyone paid for 2 games and shoes. Game 1 went smoothly, and everybody was having a great time. However, during round 2, the screen stopped and displayed Contact Attendant. We spoke to Linda, the shift lead, who stated that the issue was due to too many people on the screen. However, this rationale was confusing, as the first round had proceeded without issue. We inquired as to why the game was being canceled due to the number of people on the list when the first game had not been stopped. The shift lead and her staff were unresponsive to our concerns and instead yelled at us, instructing us to shut up and listen. We were taken aback by this behavior, especially considering that we had all paid for our games and shoes. I typically like Blackiston bowl, I bought my first ball here, learned a lot here. But the other night my GF and I came in and while purchasing our games I made the grave mistake of asking about Military Discount (most lanes offer and you don't know unless you ask). Well this led to a lecture about his prices vs the other lanes(fine I can hear that). It's the manager running his mouth to his buddy about me asking after we got to our lanes that annoyed me, clearly talking about us, clearly going over everything he got done lecturing me about. Was it really that big of a deal that warranted him to be in his feelings about it? Disdain for veterans? Honestly I have thick skin but this actually made me feel singled out and for the first time bad about asking for military discount.
