Rooster’s Leftovers at Casa De Riley w/ Service Provided By The Dogs! (With Pictures!)
My wife has been really raving about the concept of leftovers and eating the food in our home to save ourselves the cost of eating at restaurants. So for lunch I had leftover wings from Rooster’s reheated in the air fryer with my own homemade potato salad and celery and ranch. I have to say the wings reheated perfectly in the air fryer.
I did have a bit of an issue with the servers though. It seemed as if one of the servers was training the other, but they both continued to stare me down as though I had offended them in some way. The more experienced server legit never took his eyes off of me, and at one point he stood right by my chair for so long, I jokingly commented that, “If he was going to just stand there, he might as well lay down.” And then in a move that can only be described as passive-aggressive, he did just that! Laid down right on the floor!
Towards the end of my meal both servers began insisting that we go outside. This wasn’t my first rodeo and I’ve been in a few “Let’s take a step outside” moments in my life so I was ready for a good fight. The older server began yelling at me, I guess because it took me too long to get up from the table. Regardless, an effort was made to meet these boys’ demands, but it was all an elaborate scheme to allow the older server the opportunity to steal the last of my food!
If I were rating on service alone, it might be a different story. But these wings were perfect out of the air fryer and I’d never be able to have them with my homemade potato salad at the restaurant! And wouldn’t you know it, they are perfect together! Plus, I saved some cash by staying home! Would have tipped more generously, but the servers seemed more interested in my food...

We had an order of traditional wingers as an appetizer. We ordered the garlic wings and another order of medium buffalo wings. The flavor on the wings was on the low side of average but still good and the size of the wings was definitely well above average.
For dinner we both ordered hamburgers; we got the Big Bob's BBQ burger. Sides are not included but we both ordered tater tots. The burger was above average and good.
Now the bad. Our wings were not hot. I wouldn't say they were cold per se but they'd definitely been sitting awhile. Our tots on the other hand were cold - I thought I chipped a tooth on one. Second, when we ordered the wings the waitress asked if we wanted ranch or blue cheese, we ordered ranch with it. Unbeknownst to us, that was an up-charge. Further, the burgers we ordered when asked what kind of cheese we wanted, we both told her - we were charged for cheese - please note that the burger pictured has cheese on it and while it doesn't explicitly say it has cheese, with it pictured it's certainly implied.
These kind of gotcha up charges are ridiculous. For two people they charged us an additional $6 on items that were implied to be included. Will I have to take a second mortgage on my home for this? No, but it's ridiculous and I loathe people that do business like that. Charge an extra $2 for your burger instead of slapping people with a charge for cheese that you're implying is included.
I would definitely not come back here - people that aren't upfront with their pricing don't get my...
Read moreAfter multiple visits, I'm giving only one star, because either you got it, or you don't, and if your Signature Buffalo Chicken Pizza is not being made right, then you don't got it.
There is no halfway trying in the restaurant business, if you want to retain long-term customers. The Signature Buffalo Chicken Pizzas are poorly made at this location. I have visited other Roosters multiple times, and the Buffalo Chicken Pizzas were great every time. This is all I ever order besides wings, but if you don't put love into your Signature Pizza, what do you care to do right? I'm not going to find out.
I don't mean to be harsh, but I'm not just blaming the cooks who don't care about food quality. The expo should recognize poorly made food. The server should also recognize poorly made food. It's the manager's job to make sure everything that is coming out of that kitchen is right, and everyone's doing their job, just as it is the manager's job to touch tables to ensure that the food/the cooks, and the servers are up to par.
This has been a problem for a while now, and a manager has never come up to my table to ask how we are doing, which is surely a reflection of the managers presence in the kitchen and expo area. I do appreciate the manager giving me a $20 credit, but I got poorly made buffalo chicken pizza, again, and the "to go girl" forgot to place my order of wings, so I had to wait around for 15 minutes, and again, I was disappointed. Very disappointing, I wish Gordon Ramsay would pay you a visit to help whip everyone into shape....
