I had initially written a scathing review in which our experience with David Kodner had been very poor. They had initially told us our engagement ring would only take 10 days but instead took 6 weeks. During this period, we had had inquired about the progress of the ring several times and had received little to no correspondence.

While they made a mistake in not communicating with us, they did go through significant lengths to make up for this.

Immediately after my review, Mr. Kodner wrote me a lengthy email apologizing. The store was even kept open past their closing hour so that my fiance could pick up the ring after work. Additionally, Mr. Kodner apologized to him in person and refused any payment even though my fiance insisted. He realized that he had made a mistake and was adamant that he make this a positive experience for us. He only asked that we give him another chance in the future.

We are reasonable people- we were not upset that the ring was late, but that we felt like there was no communication to let us know. That said, I do believe Mr. Kodner realized this and did everything he possibly could to make it right with us. He went above and beyond anything we could have expected. It shows that he takes his customers seriously. We were very impressed with this effort and certainly appreciated the gesture.

From the get-go, Mr. Kodner and his associates were professional, warm, and made the experience customer focused. We came in knowing very little about what we were looking for in an engagement ring. Mr. Kodner and Mindy walked us through the entire process, key things to consider, and helped us identify what aspects of a ring was most important to us. Beyond the exceptional customer service, they kept in great communication throughout. Their rates/pricing for diamonds and pieces was competitive, and they had a steady flow of diamonds for us to see on a weekly basis before having us reserve a center diamond.

I cannot recommend DK jeweler for ring resizing. I took my engagement ring to them to be resized and after about a week it was ready. After picking it up and looking at it closer at home I noticed the band was in bad shape. The band was completely covered in scratches and had a visible dent and was warped where I assume it was cut to be resized. There were two spots on the band with deep scratches. I was able to take my ring to a different jeweler in the area who offered to fix it for free. It looks like it didn’t even happen now, but I regret trusting this establishment with something so precious.
