We originally scheduled an appointment here to have a mole removed from our son's face. When we scheduled the appointment with the Springboro location, we specifically told them it was for a mole removal on the face. The first appointment was an early morning appointment. When we arrived the office was locked, no lights on. We waited over 30 minutes while trying to call. Finally we were able to get ahold of someone and we were told the provider called out sick. We gave the benefit of the doubt as these things happen and rescheduled the appointment. We did not receive a cancellation text until over 30 minutes after our appointment time. At the second appointment for the mole removal we were told they didn't actually do mole removals at this location (which why would you schedule an appointment for a procedure you don't perform?) and we were rescheduled to have the mole removed at another location in Mason. While at this appointment, the provider prescribed Accutane for our son's acne, and were told we would have to bring our son to have bloodwork done each month. At the next appointment for the mole removal in Mason (which is a 30 minute drive for us) we were informed that because our son was now on Accutane, he could not have his mole removed due to an increased risk of it not healing properly and scarring. Why would you make us an appointment for a procedure he can't have when you were the ones who prescribed him the medication? Once our son needed a refill on his Accutane medication, I called the office to see what the next steps were. The person on the appointment line told me to go back to the original lab to get more blood drawn, and that there was 'usually' a standing order for the blood work given to the lab. We took our son to the lab, only to find that there was no standing order. When we called the office to see what was going on, we were informed that they didn't do standing orders, that we would have to bring our son into their office each month before they would put in a blood work order. I'm fine with bringing him in each month, as I know Accutane is a harsh drug, but why was this not communicated to us originally?
My husband and I both work full time, and have to carefully plan out appointments around our busy work schedules. Each time we have to take our son to the doctor, one of us has to miss work and our son is late to school. At this point we've wasted so much time and money on these appointments and lack of communication, and it is incredibly frustrating. I called to speak with the office manager regarding my concerns and never received a call back. I cannot recommend this office to anyone, and would highly suggest looking elsewhere. As for us, we have decided to seek out another...
Read moreI pretty rarely write a bad review and I especially am reluctant to share relevant medical information, but I feel pretty strongly people deserve to know about things like what I experienced at this practice. I went in for ear piercings that just wouldn’t heal, even though they were about a year old. I had active sores on 3 of 4 holes on both lobes. Not keloids or scars, sores.
First, the receptionist was brusque with me as well as other people in the waiting room including a potential customer just inquiring about services. No biggie, maybe she was having a bad day.
Next, I heard the NP and a nurse or assistant laughing about another patient right outside my door. Okay, maybe I just misheard, it’s probably fine.
Then the NP walked in and with no greeting or warning (and no gloves!), grabbed and twisted my ear like a kid in trouble, and said there’s “nothing there,” which she repeated every time I asked a question. She was uninterested in the efforts I’d previously taken and would not engage even in a conversation about whether this could possibly be a result of a metal allergy (but she did enter a visit reason of contact dermatitis in my file!). She spent well under 5 minutes in the room, arms crossed, telling me “there’s nothing there,” before giving me standard after care instructions as if the piercings were relatively new.
I was so taken aback that I sat in my car for minutes after I left just unable to process. I took photos of my ears that day and did a video call with a friend just to reassure myself that the painful sores were really there (they were). I would not ever return to this practice and I caution...
Read moreI would not recommend. I went in for my first appointment and there were two girls that were asking me questions about why I’m there. I said I wanted a skin check and needed something else checked. Exactly what I put on my form when scheduling the appointment. They told me I can only pick one thing because “every appointment has a time length of 10 minutes”. I was confused as I have never heard of a doctor putting such a short time length on the appointment but just said okay. The doctor came in with the two girls and did the skin check, I’m not sure why it was necessary to have multiple people in the room for that it felt very invasive. The doctor performed the skin check in maybe one minute, very quickly. Didn’t give me any information. She was about to walk out of the room and I asked “is there anything you saw that I should be concerned about” and she just said no and that I should schedule another appointment to be seen again in 3 months? Then proceeded to leave the room. I would not recommend this place, after bringing this experience up to other people they all said they have had bad experiences here as well. I hate to leave a bad review but I felt this was necessary. I would highly suggest doing your research and...
