Truly an old fashion hardware store that helps you. I got a great service at Moe's. I highly recommend this store. I knew there was an Ace hardware store there but I did not realize it has gotten much much better in recent years!! No matter what you are looking for, they attend to you right away sending an appropriate help to you with their walkie talkies. I got to see them in action because I was there waiting for my tire to be replaced.
I have been looking for a replacement tire for my True Temper wheelbarrow for the entire summer. Brandon was able to replace just the tire and put a tube in it so it is now a solid wheel! He did not give up on my wheelbarrow tire.
Big box hardware stores (Loxx's and Hoxx Dexxx) couldn't help me at all. They said they carry replacement tires but not a rod that I needed to replace. The rod was rusted and was stuck with the old wheel so I couldn't just buy the wheel. They didn't have just the tire part either. Moe's DID have just a tire replacement and he put it on. Then he told me it didn't hold air so he suggested I spend another $5 putting in a tube inside. I took his recommendation and he put that inside the new tire. I repeat myself here. The tire is now absolutely solid and good to go.
I probably could have ordered online just the tire part at "AMAXXX". Then I would have found out that I need a tube and I would have waited another week until a tube arrives from "AMAxxx". Then I would not know what to do since I don't know how to put an inner tube in the tire. If I figure out how to put a new tube in, I still would be struggling to put that new tire back on the old tire rim because I don't have an equipment or hand power to put the tire back on.
Thanks to Moe's, I now have my wheelbarrow in working order and it's better quality (heavy duty metal bucket) than the new ones of Tue Temper (plastic bucket) at a big box store for $50+. Sure, I spent about $28 but I know this one is going to last a long...
Read moreLazy and greedy. Horrible service, or at least now. I bought my mower 4 years ago from them and the service was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff, and were quick to repair and if it was something minor to fix they wouldn’t charge. Now, however, things are completely different. I never have wrote a review about any store but I’ve had enough with Moe’s. Last year or so I got my mower repaired and it cost around $500 for something that was relatively small. That wasn’t that big of a deal because I know they’re a business and need to make money. But the thing that was not ok was how long it took to service it. They said anywhere from 7-10 days. It took them 17 days. A week more isn’t that long, but when you have customers waiting for their yard to be cut it was frustrating. They didn’t even look at it or order a part till 10 days after because we called asking on the status and said they haven’t looked at it yet. Then as of today I came in needing something and waited at the desk for a while for someone to finally come out of the back to get to me. They said it’d take a few days and wanted to charge me way more than what even a high price would’ve been. It was the same thing that I’ve experienced many times there before and I’ve had enough.
For the cost of what you pay and the little to none service you get, I would urge you to never buy from here again. The employees are lazy and seem to just not care. Would not go...
Read moreMan! You whiny little entitled peacocks who gave low reviews. You are hilarious! Firstly, figure it out. These are basically two separate businesses with a motor repair shop next to a hardware store that happen to be inside the same main door. They don't need to have the same hours etc and POLICIES and closing hours are set. 8:02 is after 8pm and certainly after 6pm. Carb clean and blade sharpening....well first of all it's obvious they were trying to do what little dab they had to to cut grass instead of a complete annual service including oil and air filter etc which are really needed on a regular basis. You will find most mower shops will be 150+ just to get it running then you have to pay to sharpen blade.. They don't do it for free since they are "already working on it". Have you priced services lately?? Who else am I forgetting to lambaste? It's really a shame the owner takes the safe high road instead of telling them the facts that they don't seem to like. Customers like these are best to NOT have as customers. Had a great experience with this shop. Had some Toro parts in stuck no other dealer in the area had. I went when they were open and had power and gave them my phone number too! They took my money and even gave me change. I don't use a stupid app or online. I called and gave them the part...
