El Toro Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Springboro

Me and my hubby were regular visitors at this place and because of the service and food we kept going to this restaurant on almost weekly basis but of late the service is pathetic with the waiters chatting around the corners and lacking basic manners. The other day they had a new guy on job and I told him I wanted to shift to another table he said "ok go" and he kept acting annoyed. He was flirting with the new girl there so i thought may be he got annoyed because he had to attend to us. Then there is this grumpy lady who treats customers as if they were in jail and she is doing a favor by giving food, she is all smiles while she chats with her colleagues. It's like u have to be careful not to disturb their chatting time. The manager seems to not care about all this. Then the place has lost its hygiene, many mosquitos, tables are sticky, no cleanliness and I dont know how well they r maintaining kitchen. Felt like reporting this actually. Food tastes good but not as good as before, sometimes the refried beans feels like they have been left on plate for long that they have turned stale. I dont really why they had to screw up...

Went here tonight for dinner for my son's birthday and was excited to have them sing to him. I went up to the front and spoke to the guy, I ordered the dessert and he said they would come and sing. I went back to the table and 5 min later our server comes out and literally slides the dessert across the table to my son and says, "I can't find anyone to sing so just take it." Then a woman comes over and hands my son a sombrero and tells us, you can keep this since they didn't come out and sing. When we were ready to leave it took about 10 min to get our check. We paid and left and two guys came out and snatched the sombrero off my kids head saying, I need that back. When we explained that the woman told us he could keep it he said, no you can't keep it. If it was that big a deal he could have just said it was a miscommunication and that he needed it back and we would have given it to him with no problem but the fact that two of them ran out as though we skipped on the bill and grabbed off my kids head was...

Walked in and were seated right away but 15 minutes before one of 6 people looked up from there phones to realize we were not being waited on. We ordered food hoping the service would get better. 40 minutes later our food showed up after we asked how much longer. At this point our 3 year old was loosing it. Before the food came out I asked if the had a coloring page and again the hostess’ on their phones. After 5 minutes of searching they found the crayons and papers they were not giving out on the regular I guess.

So back to the food...... so 2 of the 3 entrees we wrong. (Beef instead of chicken, asked for side of ranch and avocado). After we asked how much longer the food promptly came out and it was apparent it had been sitting back there for a while while the kids frys were cooking. Having to each crunchy tacos with a fork because they had turned to paste. Not great...

In summary the service was a dumpster fire. Zero give a sh*t from anyone. I hope the owners take charge and...
