Can I give 10 out of 5 stars??? I used to attend the Atma Center back in the day but have since moved out of the area. One bright spot from the pandemic? Zoom yoga! I'm so glad to have access to the wonderfully wise teachers at Lotus Flower again!
If you're in the area I would totally recommend going in-studio and soaking up all the good studio vibes and wonderful communal energy from an in-person class. All of the teachers are so well-versed in biomechanical principles of alignment and know how to keep joints safe. And modifications abound! Feeling rusty at Sun Salutation? No problem! There's modifications with a chair, standing, or a wall. It's truly yoga for every body.
All of us in Zoomland aren't forgotten either! We're always greeted, included, and made to feel part of the class. So if you can't make it to the studio for whatever reason - virtual is always there for you.

Read moreThe yoga that is taught here is different from what is usually taught in other places. This yoga is for mind and body. You do not need the ability to touch your toes to start doing this yoga. However, if you do this yoga you will be able to touch your toes fairly quickly and painlessly. A greater benefit would come in terms of the calm and steady mind that you would experience over time. Anxiety and stress will no longer cause strain. A clarity of mind like you have never experienced will surface. And like I said before you will be able to touch your toes and move your body in ways you never thought psossible. The teachers accommodate students of expert yoga background and...
Read moreTruly yoga for EVERYbody. The teachers all focus on adapting the poses to meet the needs of the students and make themselves available after class to answer any questions. The two studio spaces are well managed and clean, with plenty of props available for students to modify poses as needed. The staff are all wonderful people who greet you with a smile and make you feel at home. The atmosphere in class never feels competitive (there aren't any mirrors in the studios), and I love looking around a typical class and seeing an incredible diversity of ages, races, sexes, sizes, and abilities... I can't recommend the Atma Center...
